1. Jan-Hendrik Wessels (Vodacom Bulls)
I'm with you on Hooker, KC.
But i would like to give him a year or two to get a bit more man strength and some experience before he takes up the role.
I feel that until he's about 22-23 that bit of youthfulness makes hi a tad more suited to 13. But from then on, he's a big unit and I think will make a proper hardnose 12 that could take it up and solidify a channel.
Nah he is strong enough already and 22 :) Agreed he is a good option at 13 with AE together….
But I am certain we will see Erasmus,s conservative picks, unless he proofs me wrong.
Oh, he's actually a year older than I thought

The sprin gboks needs a fnctioning backline and not the shot Dumbo at 12 deliver. His crashballing is never an addition to attacking ability of the Sharks and although the Hendriks brothers are blamed for it equal blame must be assigned to Eterhuizen - who has no idea how attacking rugby should be played abd hs rile in the amin is unsuccessful xrhballing. ,
Esterhuizen played in 21 tests and never once scored a try for the Springboks - there are two reasons for that deficiency, He is never where the action is and if he is his deficient ball skills let him down.
I fail to ubnderstang how people read his play and never see his deficiencies, Anoher provbelem is he is often missing from the defense line of the Sharks be cause he prefers to stand out sd the ings rom her he hoes to show his abiliy to attack or stand around amongst the forwards, That is why in the five tess he played in in 2018 he only managed to make 22 tackles - but he also missed 5 tackles,
I think that Erasmus have seen through the praise facade and will not use him in future as he would prefer Wllemse as backup for De Allende - regarded world wide as the top 12 in rugby - and ten times more efficient than Dumbo is, , .
. .
Drivel Alert…..
Actually that is a pretty decent URC team. As for the 12, there is no point having a crash baller outside an offloader that opens gaps. So Esterhozen is the obvious choice. Anybody but Dud is my mantra…..another season of half paced tractoring is about 10 seasons too many.
Remember when Willemse chucked the ball into the ground after DDA botched a certain try?
The frustration was palpable and one could tell it wasn't a one time thing. It was Willemse expressing a frustration that had been building up towards the play killing DDA.
I sit on the sofa watching games and my frustration levels are at max with his slow and momentum killing play. Imagine being a 15 or a 13 and trying to play off of DDA.
It must be absolute torture.
Mozart
Have you seen anything bar crashballing from Esterhuizen? Not only that - please explain why in 21 tests he never scored a ttry and why his defense is routinely affected by his absence frpm the defensive line.
Fact is Estrhuizen is never where the actions ared and when he is his ball skills deserted him.
Mike, I don't mean to be rude, but literally nobody trusts your rugby takes.
de Allende all day for me

I know that I'm going for AE in combination with SFM.
The way that AE has been carrying the Sharks this season has been something to behold.
I watched most of their games and amidst all the chaos, AE has been noticed, but barely got the credit he deserves for how he has played.
It would be a a real shame if DDA is chosen to start outside of Sacha.
Does anybody still think that DDA should start ahead of Andre in our big games this year?
