In a strategic move that’s stirring up the waters, Coach JP Pietersen has shuffled his deck for the upcoming Sharks showdown with the Bulls this Saturday at Kings Park. The Vodacom URC stage is set for what promises to be a clash of titans, with Jordan Hendrikse stepping up as the starting flyhalf, sending George Whitehead to warm the bench. Meanwhile, Hakeem Kunene is set to replace Aphelele Fassi, who's on the mend after a concussion during last week’s victorious Investec Champions Cup skirmish against Saracens.

"Winning is always important. It gives you belief, something to build on, motivation and confidence going into the next game."

Pietersen didn't mince words post-Saracens clash, emphasizing the boost a win gives to team spirit. But he’s under no illusions about the upcoming game, acknowledging the desperation of the Bulls to overturn their fortunes, "We know the Bulls won’t be easy – they’re desperate as well – but what a challenge it’s going to be.”

The Sharks, currently lurking at 14th on the URC log with just one win from six bouts, are hoping to turn the tide. In a bid to dazzle and perhaps intimidate, they will don limited-edition red and gold kits exclusive to SharksFest.

The Sharks’ line-up reads like a who’s who of rugby talent, poised to take the pitch by storm. The starting XV features Hakeem Kunene at 15, flanked by Edwill van der Merwe at 14 and Makazole Mapimpi at 11, with Ethan Hooker and Andre Esterhuizen (captaining the squad) holding the center. Jordan Hendrikse and Grant Williams are the half-back pairing, while the formidable forward pack includes Phepsi Buthelezi, Vincent Tshituka, Siya Kolisi, Emile van Heerden, Jason Jenkins, Hanro Jacobs, Bongi Mbonambi, and Phatu Ganyane. Riding the pine and ready to spring into action are Eduan Swart, Lee-Marvin Mazibuko, Mawande Mdanda, Marvin Orie, Matt Romao, Nick Hatton, Jaden Hendrikse, and George Whitehead.

As the Sharks gear up to face the Bulls, fans are in for a treat. This weekend promises fiery confrontations and potentially season-defining performances. Grab your limited-edition gear, and buckle up for a rugby rollercoaster at SharksFest!
