Sharks sinks rock bottom after losing to the Lions in the final 10 min.

11 Springboks in the team Vs 0 springboks

Something smells fishy at the Saaarks

My personal opinion is the Saaarks are over run with quotas or is the coach?

To think they have the likes of

Fassi,Am, Williams hendrikse, ox, Mpimpi. All boks, but none of them can make a difference for the sharks.

Is it Rassie conservative game plan that brings the best out of them.

The sharks also have Tsisuka and Pepsi as well as Fudge, all age group stars.

Yet, they all look good with ball in hand but they don't know how to play together or play towards a particular game plan

Am was a ghost in the game.

Mpimpi tried to run into traffic.

They also want to beat the defender, moving the ball is an after thought.

Sharks have the most black springbok players but yet at the bottom of the table

Plumtree took over at a difficult time and will have to install a winning culture….the players seem to lack self belief in the Sharks system or themselves…they had good moments of running with the Ball but lacks the ability to score those crunch points to actually win the game….chamberlain is not a exceptionally good kicker, but have the potential to get there….Eben showed his class again but his team mates did not back that up….scrum time is also a area where something is lacking….Having Coenie Oosthuizen there does not help much, not a bad player, but over his best….I think Plumbtree will get them back on track.

Ja, I guess not having a pre-season with your boks nor having them for the first 2 months is massive.

We saw way back when, in super rugby, the all blacks were rested in the first 6 weeks. They really struggled to find their feet and those teams even lost with the All black players came back. I’m talking about macaw and carter.

On top of that, they’ll lose the boks for another 2 months in Feb / March.

Time for the administrators to come up with a better schedule.

I really like what is happening in Japan. 5 months of Solid Rugby, 6 weeks of trading and they are done in April.

Top league games have been high quality. World rugby needs to take note.

SARU is very guilty of too much rugby and so is the French and English

Good point King….but also makes a strong case for our local coaches capabilities….Dobbo leading the way with turning nobodies into stars, with a instilled self belief second to none….Manie Libbok for example…although there is many things that I don’t like about Rassie, this is one thing he is very good at…same as Dobbo, they relate to players on a personal level. Trust gets build and causes a strong bond between Coach and players + among themselves …so maybe that was the problem with the previous coach Everitt and Plumtree must rebuild.

Ja, there is something seriously wrong at the sharks. They use to be a 2nd decision team way back when. They ended buying a lot of players and managed to get promotion. Then, it was the days of Ian Macintosh who really made them a power house. But like so many coaches, he was really close to his players.

They could do things together and that is very evident. Dobbo loves his players and they play for him.

We have also seen over so many seasons how many quality players have left the sharks as rejects only to do better away.

Yesterday was a classic example. Nohamba, surplus as a 9 shining at 10 for the lions and playing at 10 for them. Marius Louw was instrumental for the lions too.

It is almost that they don’t have an identity. I do believe that they are trying to make the entire black, I just don’t believe that half those black players are any good.

On top of that, you have Zulus playing with Xhosas. They are the biggest enemies. Had it not been for Apartheid they would still be fighting each other. You can see the tension in the ANC. They are different people. So just wanting to make the entire team black doesn’t mean success.

You either absorb the Zulu culture, it is Durban after all. White that doe well are those that speak Zulu.

I think Ox is Tswana.

anyway, I still think most of these players are quotas and not nearly as good as they look on paper.

You need more than athleticism.

The Sharks certainly have the players but some have been missing and they have a new coach so I’m guessing it’s a teething problem for now

I’m guessing they will come right at some point soon

It would help if Bongi, Koch, Richardson and Vincent Tsituka were available

They have only just got back the services of Grobelaar at lock. Am is only just back from injury and JVR finds himself in and out of the side
