So our players are probably fatigued

given the opposition and intensity of the games they have had to play.

Scotland, Ireland, France then England and now it’s one last push against the AB’s for glory

There were two options, one was make a few changes to freshen up the side or stick with the tried and tested.

If we had gone with the freshening up approach that would have dishonoured the incumbents that have got us this far

So Rassie has gone with the tried and tested which includes Faf and Pollard, for let’s face it they are very much part of the tried and tested.

But to overcome the fatigue element he has resorted back to the 7/1 split thereby bringing in some freshness.

So what he is saying to Kitshoff, Malherbe, Eben, Mostert, Kolisi, Vermeulen and PSDT or Bongi is empty your tank in the first half and we will send on a whole new pack in the second half.

Most of the attrition is with the forwards so they will be the ones fatigued. Pollard and Faf are fresh as Pollard has only had a handful of games and Faf has been benched for the last two.

The 7/1 worked against NZ in the warm up but had little effect against Ireland so it will be interesting to see how the final pans out with the 7/1

I just wish Am was at 13

More excuses. Why aren't they conditioned? Who raised the issue conditioning a long time ago? France, England, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland... they all look better conditioned. Don't worry, Erasputin has filled the Spaghetti Pot for when he starts panicking or has an itch to tinker.

Have to disagree. We played Ireland 3 weeks before we played France. Then we played 2 top teams in 2 weeks, just like NZ. But they were more efficient ….we labored over both games. We made many more tackles than France.

This is already the serial excuse….it’s nonsense.

It’s our predominantly Forward base style that is very taxing on the players bodies….we always have to tackle like demons, scrambling and putting bodies on the line to only scrape thru…it only works because of this special group of players that have adapted to the style very well….this is also the reason why the core group of players are older than 30 and some completely out of form. This is mostly because of the lack of variation in our style of Coaching and poor player selection.

Yes you are right Dave. Was listening to a clip by a Chinese guy from Hong Kong. He was actually very analytical and very good and got great reviews from those who watched the clip.

He said South Africa had had the hardest run to the final in Rugby World Cup history and had been in the toughest pool ever. Nz had had it easier.

Poor Doos and the Mozzzzquitoe are immune to the facts.

Apparently it has been raining consistently in Paris. The Chinese guy noted how well NZ play in tbe rain. This is my main concern.

I agree the starting Boks will empty the tank in the first half. Du Toit is the one guy who will most likely play 80 minutes. He has played a lot but has a huge engine.

Any fatigue issues in the pack can be managed.

We must make this a forward battle. That will also help keep our backs fresh.

Dave as the RWC has progressed and the Boks moved on poor Doos and Mozzz have become progressively more unhinged. Their comments, always anti Rassie and the Boks became more virulent. These two are joined at the hip and are fake Bok supporters. Bwahahahahaha.

Did the 7/1 split really work against New Zealand? I mean South Africa where 21-0 up against New Zealand who where down to 14 men by the time the bench came on. After the bench came South Africa scored an additional 14 points to NZ's 7. The All Blacks where already a beaten team by the time the Bok bench came on.

Amongst our many failures of being the worst side ever with the worst coach ever (per Doos) we also have a pathetic defence say the Doos.

One marvels at how such a poor team with such a useless coach, with no defence is currently ranked number 1 in the Workd and will play in the final.

Wouldnt it be hilarious to hear the Doos on the subject!!! Ou mozzz of course thinks ou Doos is quite brilliant the way he "thinks out of the box*

Their out of the box thinking is as absurd as I have ever seen on a rugby website. Not even Rooitwit has reached these lows.

Hahahahahahaha.

StavASS the bomb squad has served us well.

I just want to point out that our forwards weren't as dominant as we thought they would be against Ireland nor Wales. Neither did we smash England in the final.

What the boks do really well was to use the cross field kicks, use our locks to great effect and at the same time use our smaller flankers to break off the maul to get us over the advantage line.

We are really missing Marx.

I hope, that with this occasions that boks play on adrenalin. That the players find the reserve and put the All Blacks to the sword.

Kittshoff has been completely off the pace

Eben was hot and cold, we need the Eben that played against France

We need the Kolisi from last year that were smashing, carrying and pilfering the ball.

PSDT has a huge engine, but he needs to be more effective with his carries and getting over the ball, I know he is tall, so use his size to counter ruck.

I think if we can control possession and just hammer the all blacks, constantly, that they will buckle.

Our defence need to be spot on. The All Blacks knows what is coming.

Ireland nullified us up front, France use clever chip kicks behind to turn the boks, England use better kick chasers and catchers to combat our short wingers, which nearly cost us.

So there are 3 major cracks in the boks.

What stood us is their scrambling and not giving up attitude, backing themselves and staying calm,

We need to control the first 30 min, even if we just get 3 points ahead. We need to keep the Kiwis at bay.

Richi is an unbelievable quick players, watching him play live, you realise how quick he is in tight spaces. Even quicker than Kolbe and Arendse, that guy can carve open any defence. Then we have D Mac, another agile player that is extremely under rated.

Just need to shut them down, keep them bound and hopefully Scot Barrett can have another brain implosion.

Whitelock is a very crafty player and knows how to work the refs. Will Jordan, equal try scorer, can break the record, also need to be kept at bay.

Hope we smash them

Bokke!!!!

Richie is a tortoise compared to Kolbe.

I do agree about Marx. He is a huge loss. Extremely physical. Bongi, Mostert and Kolisi are not really physically dominant players.

I said our players were probably fatigued not that they were.

It’s not an excuse at all, that was never my point. My point was that having 7 forwards on the bench is a clever way of countering the fatigued issue

A half each for the forwards except for one of them

Oct 27, 2023, 15:11

Clever as long as you don’t have an injury in the backs….do we really want Kolbe at 9 for a long stint?

Oct 27, 2023, 16:36

What's so clever about filling your pack with Vodacom Cup talent and leaving bench with many rightful starters? We could have fielded those starters and had a bench of non-included players who were better than most of the starters for tomorrow! We could have also had a fitter team, and not needed a 7-1 split. No matter which way you spin it. All roads lead to Erasputin being a moron.
