Mbonambi gets a "sublime in contact" 9 - with 1m from 5 runs and two turnovers conceded.
Steph missed more than a third of his tackles - 8
Libbok missed half his tackles and conceded 2 turnovers - 8
I guess if you win everyone's a world beater regardless.

15 Damian Willemse: He stunned many by calling for a scrum from a mark in his 22, but it paid off. Willemse was solid under the high ball and kicked well out of hand, too. Little impact on attack, with the Bok wingers getting more involved. 6
14 Kurt-Lee Arendse: Grabbed a try, and like his fellow winger, he was brilliant in all facets of the game. Shone when the ball came his way and was excellent on the kick chase and under the high ball. 7
13 Jesse Kriel: Stabbed through a wonderful kick for Cheslin Kolbe’s try and was astute as ever on defence. He kept the French attack on their toes, and when he put the hammer down, he caused all kinds of issues for the defence. 8
12 Damian de Allende: Neutralised the impact of Jonathan Danty to great effect, hammering and chopping the French centre down. He did superbly well in the build-up to his try and quickly recycled to finish off the score. 8
11 Cheslin Kolbe: After a quiet World Cup, by his standards, Kolbe produced a stunning showing. He got on the scoresheet with a superb finish, hassled and hurried on defence, and brilliantly charged down one of Thomas Ramos’ conversion kicks. A player who epitomised the Springboks’ heart and determination tonight. 9
0 Manie Libbok: Kicked well out of hand, putting the French backfield under immense pressure. He did miss a tough shot at goal but nailed two. Overall, it was a strong game from the fly-half, who was surprisingly replaced early. 8
9 Cobus Reinach: A surprising inclusion in the starting line-up, but he repaid the faith in him. Reinach kicked well out of hand, one of his box kicks leading to a try. He also worked tirelessly on defence and won a turnover. 7
Back-row
8 Duane Vermeulen: The veteran back-rower is renowned for producing in the big Boks matches, and he did again as he made a key turnover in the build-up to Arendse’s try. He was excellent throughout in slowing down the French attack. A legend of the Green and Gold jersey whose career is extended by another two weeks. 8
7 Pieter-Steph du Toit: The 2019 World Player of the Year was everywhere during his shift, laying into the French attack on both sides of the ball. He also made an excellent cover tackle in the second half and had a sensational, over-the-head catch. 8
6 Siya Kolisi: Fought hard in a furious breakdown battle. He didn’t have any opportunities with the ball in hand. Worked relentlessly and was replaced early in the first half 6
5 Franco Mostert: Looked puzzled when he was subbed off, but he was incredibly busy during his stint on the pitch, making 14 tackles and carrying on three occasions. He wasn’t able to influence the French lineout as he did against Ireland, but he ran the Bok lineout well. 7
4 Eben Etzebeth: Almost single-handedly got the Boks level with his slap back on his own try-line and then the contest in the air that led to Arendse’s try. He was unlucky with his yellow card as he did his utmost to avoid making a high tackle but returned to score a crucial try to win the game for the Springboks. A world-class player, who was at his glorious best. 9
Front-row
3 Frans Malherbe: A big scrummaging performance from the tighthead prop and he was no sloucf. 6h around the park either, putting in a tidy defensive shift. 7
2 Bongi Mbonambi: Almost went the distance before he was forced off the pitch with an HIA. He was sublime in contact and accurate at the set-pieces throughout. 9
1 Steven Kitshoff: Usually incredibly accurate at the breakdown, but today he was not today, conceding three penalties. Kitshoff was solid in the scrums and made his tackles, but those penalties were costly. 5
Replacements: The Springboks needed a full 23-man effort to get past the hosts, and they got it. Props Ox Nche and Vincent Koch were sublime in the scrums, as was Deon Fourie at the breakdown and the carries. Kwagga Smith was simply unreal, while Faf de Klerk and Handre Pollard came up in the clutch when needed. 9
