Dave have a look at the following and giove are yor comments please:-

A strong group of junior players have committed their futures to the Cape Town franchise.

School rugby season is in full swing, with quality rugby being played across the Western Cape every weekend and several highly promising players are poised to make the transition to the professional game next year.

The Stormers have already secured the services of several of these star players for 2026 and beyond.

The Paarl Gimnasium duo of centre Markus Muller and loose forward Quintin Potgieter, Rondebosch Boys loose forward Alutha Wesi, centre Randall-John Davids and prop Matt van der Merwe have all agreed to join the Stormers next year.

The list of players also includes wing Jordan Steenkamp, hooker Altus Rabe and loose forward Gert Kemp from Paul Roos, Wynberg Boys flyhalf Yaqeen Ahmed, Boland Landbou scrumhalf Jayden Brits and Grey College lock AJ Meyer.

The list does not include any school players from Oakdale - the only school team that beat Paarl Boys High thus far this year and is playing Paarl Gim this weekend, From the above it is not a full list of Stormer recruits, so their apparently also other players from schools like Oadale that were recruited,

The difference is that for the first time in years the Stormers are dealing with school recruiting to prevent playes being recruited by other franchises like happened regularly in past years. .

Markus Muller at 13 is the best school boy rugby player in SA right now

Other great signings are 8th man Potgieter, flyhalf Ahmed and lock AJ Meyer

All very very good players - best in their respective positions in SA

They should have signed Oakdale loosehead Kai Pratt

Nort sure whether Pratt was signed on at all - as far as I can make out Pratt is not in Matric yet and will finish his school year at the end of 2026 and not this year, I will try to find out whether the latter is indeed the case.
