Just when you thought the Stormers might take a breather after their ruthless 35-0 drubbing of Leinster, the Cape Town squad is beefing up for their next clash. This Friday’s Vodacom URC showdown against the Ospreys at Cape Town Stadium could see the Stormers further bolstered by the return of a trio of titans. As they still ride high on their recent victory, coach John Dobson’s lineup, previously thinned by pre-season injuries, is about to get a heavy-duty boost.

Two powerhouse players from the front row, Scottish bulldozer Oli Kebble and local hero Sazi Sandi, are ready to return to the fray. Adding to that, World Cup champ Deon Fourie is also set to rejoin the ranks. This injection of talent could not come at a better time as the Stormers gear up to take their momentum into the upcoming European tour.

Forwards coach Rito Hlungwani shared some insights into the team’s condition, confirming the good news.

“Marcel [Theunissen] has a laceration [to the face] but he should be fine as far as I know,”

Hlungwani remarked, adding,

“Everyone is fit. Some guys are returning to full fitness. Oli Kebble, Sazi Sandi, and Deon Fourie are all returning to training.”

A new face in the squad, Ntuthuko Mchunu, is also tipped to be match-fit just in time for the team’s face-off against the Scarlets on October 10th. His forthcoming debut on the European stage is eagerly anticipated, adding yet another layer of depth to the already formidable Stormers squad.

As the Stormers continue to patch up and power up, the Ospreys might need to brace themselves for a storm coming their way this Friday. With the return of such key players, the Stormers are not just looking to compete; they're gearing up to dominate, both at home and abroad. Let the games begin!
