Yet again it comes down to a Dr.Lucky selection nightmare. He carries on with older players and resist the natural order of things. We need the young guns that are hungry to prove and win games!!!
The persistence with the 35-year old Reinach is just another of Rassie's little idiosyncrasies we can ill afford anymore.
Yes, true. Ox also starts more games along with Marx. Now the Boks finish weaker than when they started.
Marx and Kwagga were effective at the breakdown off the bench. Pollard of the bench helped convert pressure into points with his accuracy.
klop, Reinach's selection's ridiculous given depth
The bomb squad is only a bomb squad if it’s at least a 6 - 2 split and the entire front row is replaced together.
otherwise it’s just substitutes.
I saw Rassie say that after the match. However the bench has been poor for much of this year - like against Italy as well.

We have seen the bench decline over the last year or so. Previously, some of the bench players were better than starters, like when Marx used to get on - and Kwagga. Nowadays, Marx starts, and Bongi finishes the game. Kwagga also appears way past his best, and is no longer a factor at the breakdown. Then we have Reinach stumbling around, who is not even the 5th best option, now playing way past his best.
