Although the Springboks are on track to win the Rugby Championship, wing Cheslin Kolbe believes his side are yet to reach their potential.

The Springboks have won four from four in the competition, as they sit on 18 points. Argentina are second on 10, with New Zealand third on seven. Australia prop up the bottom of the table with four points.

With two rounds of matches remaining, the Springboks can wrap up the title with a win against hosts Argentina in Santiago del Estero on September 21.

Despite their eight-point gap at the top, Kolbe insisted their approach would not change.

‘Beauty of the sport’

“We’re undefeated up until now but we haven’t been playing our best rugby. We can’t get carried away, there’s so much to improve on and learn from especially the two New Zealand matches,” Kolbe told Sportsbroom.com

“That’s the beauty of the sport, we have another opportunity in the next couple of weeks, the job isn’t done.”

The Springboks began their Rugby Championship campaign with two comprehensive victories over Australia on their home turf. In their second match, Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus made 10 changes to his side but still they ran out comfortable winners.

“We had a good start, playing our first two tests in Australia of which we didn’t have a good record there for a couple of years.

“We couldn’t ask for a better start with two bonus point wins and coming back to our country and playing in front of our home crowd was special.”

Kolbe also spoke about youngsters Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Aphelele Fassi and their progress.

“The guys coming through bring a high level of energy into the team,” Kolbe revealed.

“I’ve been trying to learn and pick up from the things they do whether it’s in the gym or at training, because it brings up something different to my style of play.

“You’d swear they’ve been in the team for five years. Their composure, and how well they remain calm under pressure are impressive. They have a lot of new tricks, and I’m trying to grab as much and stay on par with them.”

Thanks Denny

Coming from Kolbe it is clear he is really going to improve his game snce he is inspired by the yungsters.   Wonderful times coming for the Springboks - especially when Willemse is back.

My ideal backline will be Fassi, Arendse. Kolbe,Moonie, Wllemse, SFM and Hendricks.

That will probably be the fastest backline ever for the Springboks.

Grant Williams in stead of Hendricks.

Draad

Was hesitating about Wlliams - but he is nervous and may spoil thngs.  If he can get hat out - by all means lets change Hendriks with Wiliams.
