Tony Brown - Bok Attack Coach (Esterhuizen vs Delande)

Right from the kickoff against Wales, it was clear that the Boks aimed to keep the ball in hand more with quick passes along the backline.

Brown might have influenced the decision to start Esterhuizen over De Allende. At first glance, Esterhuizen appeared to have had an average game against Wales, but there might be more to his performance than initially meets the eye.

Esterhuizen didn't make any barnstorming runs, he executed two quick passes in traffic that were part of try-scoring moves, and he was involved in backline manoeuvres where his positional play helped the backs to run unpredictable lines creating space by drawing in the defence

In contrast, De Allende is generally less effective at organizing his backline, even when he is used merely as a dummy runner for a skip pass. A big strong horse that excels in the tight phases, but lacks the brains to take the best option based on the situation when there is space to go wide

BS spreading  galore.

What a load of shit Esterhuizen was disappointing DA was an improvement

Its incredible how these dopes deceive themselves. Allende definitely looked the better player. AE wasted his chance to grab the number 12 jersey. FACT

Without a doubt not that DA as our starting 12 was ever in doubt

By doing what?

Four runs/9 metres/1 turnover conceded. Sure that’s promising a net negative 11 metres.

Allende definitely looked the better player.

Again, doing what? It's easy to make an assertion without backing it up with evidence. What specifically did he do that improved on anything Esterhuizen did?

This kind of sums it up:

Andre Esterhuizen - 4.5: Quiet game, struggled to make an impact.

Damian de Allende - 8: Added an extra layer to the attack and made a crucial turnover

Watching it live he looked the more impactful of the 2 - Esterhuizen was disappointing

I have recorded it will watch it to confirm my views

Neither player did anything of note…keeping it real.

Added an extra layer to the attack and made a crucial turnover

More unsubstantiated media nonsense regarding the "extra layer". His only noteworthy contribution to the attack was the short pass with which he put Sasha into a half gap in the 81st minute after his little lateral crabbing across the field engaged two Welshmen.

The mid second half impact came from the decisive Sasha replacing the uncertain and jittery Hendrikse.

Sounds like ice cream for dessert.

Delande had a very good 30 minutes as a flanker. He cleared rucks, tackled around the fringes and got one turnover.

I think he could have contributed as a flank.

We'll see who starts against the Irish.

I think it's gonna be AE.

That brain fart Moz mentioned in the other thread...I bet you Brown, like the rest of us, saw that too.

Imagine being a coach and watching a player freeze up and panic like that.

lol I mean, do you have to tell a 70 cap Bok to relax? What do you tell him? Nah, when a motherboard is gone, you replace it...repairing ain't possible.

Th is s real Moart BS  - He did not see the crucial turnover  of possession when the Welsh were attacking an being about 5 meters our.   H e did nto see the paswing game of De Allende  thatw s 10 times beetter in ball handling after De A llende replaced he non-productive Esterhuizen,

They do not want to understand th at Esterhuizen contribution to th e game was disappointing to say the least.   Aside from that Esterhuizen was disappointing  whenever he played for he Springboks - that is why he did not make the 2019 WC squad.

If Willemse was not injured he yesterday would have been the starting center anyway,   The idiots did nt realize that what happened in team selection very much followed the match ag ainst Wales in 2018 - namely a number of players - espcially to spare th e real players against the Irish .

I know they claimed that the move to play was a sign that Esterhuizen was Brwn's choice to replace De Allende and aside from th em that th e Spring bok backline was really malfunctioning  until Sacha came on as flyhalf and D e Allede as inside center.   Those two changes made the backline more dangerous.

Shark giving us his usual ignorant rugby take

DA was better than Esterhuizen and that’s a fact

All this talk about Esterhuizen being so much better than DA is a load of utter shit as Saturday proved yet again

Jun 24, 2024, 03:43

It is amazin g h ow site members dream up thing s t hey beleive is possiblee;-

*     Electing   Rood at 12

*     Electing  De Allende as a flank forward

That type of BS shows no idea about rugby as a game.   The onlty two examples were moving  Spies from wing  to number 8 - it was a failure - and Jake White moving  Rsterhuizen to 7 in 2014 and that was a total failure as well,

But they  never learn - and what they do is dreaming  up BS   deductions like SB did in the case of Esterhuizen being  Browns first choice no 12 - not a word from Brown in that regard - but the person most unable to think for himself and totally unable to use logic after years of brainwashing came up with  his standard BS

It is that kind of BS  that makes this site in a way interesting  - because it shows total ignorance on anything they post bcause it is really funny to see continuous idiocy on display.  .

Mike I have to agree. I had forgotten how funny these Allende hating loons are!

It get even more hilarious when they trash Rassie and DuToit. The whole world is wrong but these halfwits think they are right. Bwahahahahahaha.

I think their basic problem is they are deeply prejudiced people who lack objectivity and rugby acumen but have no idea that this is the case!!! :D

I can't but wonder what newcomers or people visiting this site  think when the loons are in full flight! Thankfully there are folk here who give credibility to the board.

Great example Beeno is setting...

On a rugby forum, where nobody is insulting him, but rather expressing views on rugby that he doesn't agree with, and he resorts to calling them pretentious, halfwits, dopes, and and and...

Like I told you previously, Beeno, leading by example is the best way to attract people to your way of life.

...otherwise, it just looks like hypocrisy and like your 'faith" is simply a tool you use to place yourself above other people.
