Will be re-branded as the Allianz Stadium from September.

Disgusting of the RFU to sell out the most historic name in Rugby simply because they have caused years of financial mismanagement.

It’ll always be Twickers to me.

Agree totally Becs.

The same happened with Kingspark in Durban. Twickenham should always be part of the name at the very least (e.g. Allianz Twickenham Stadium)

Disgusting, but at least it’s still there. Newlands, South Africa’s most historic ground, was deep sixed for the blight at Green Point.

Rugby is in the hands of a group that are doing their best to make money….traditions be damned.

Yep Becs it will always be Twickers just like my home town will always be Grahamstown despite the name change to Makhanda

When I was living in Germany, I used Allianz for my car and Travel Insurance.

But Taking away the Twickenham name for this German founded Company, is absolute sacrilege! Honestly where is the respect for the Heritage and History?! What a pity.

And I can’t believe they change the towns name Grahamstown to Makhanda …I didn’t know about that…another disrespectful dump on heritage and History.

Many of the East Cape towns and cities have new names

PE is something else now

It’s shocking, Saffolk. Trying to erase history.

The biggest catastrophe rebranding the mighty Western Province to a vokkin weather event.
