But hardly a surprise given the strange side selected

Hendrikse had a shocker after being so good against Argentina

Kwagga once again confirmed he is not an 8 and should never start - he had a shocker

Did v Staaden and Mostert play?

Esterhuizen, Eben, Willie, Pollard and Moodie were good starters

PSDT was good off the bench

Good to see RG having a licence to offload but his team mates need to be on board with it. Plenty of offloads going to no one

Nov 11, 2024, 05:16

Rassie continues to play russian roulette with his selections there's no-one else to blame other than him.......it's become a joke. He's not building combinations.  I struggle to find a sense of direction to what he's trying to achieve, why he persists with ignoring the abundance of talented younger players at his disposal.....why he persists with playing Kwagga at 8, why he persists with Van Staden and why he continuous to select newbie 30yr olds with an eye to the WC and future.

No coach has ever had the abundance of talent that Rassie has at his disposal but that's a fat lot of nothing when it's not being utilized to its full potential.

..

Nov 11, 2024, 07:34

Agreed Denny - I don’t see the point of either playing your best side or a side made up of first choice players mixed with youngsters

Nov 11, 2024, 07:40

Which youngsters are you talking about? There was only 3 in that starting 23. Louw, Hendrikse and Steenekamp.

And none of those first choice players really looked like first choice players…. They were struggling there asses off against a mediocre Scotland!

Nov 11, 2024, 07:46

Willie had his time, Mpimpi has their time. Two world cups, what else do they want?

I don't see Rassie backing Fassi in all 3 games.

Who is our best team. Our backline players probably have a other year left in them, max, the same can be said of our pack.

Rassie keeps talking about that he wants a squad of 50 players.

I just don't see who benefitted from this game. We are seriously exposed at 6.

Why not give Hannekom a crack at 6. He is good over the ball and is explosive with real pace.

Wonder who Rassie will pick against England.

Not going to be an easy game after losing in the dying moments against NZ and Aus. This will be the hardest game

Nov 11, 2024, 08:44

Agree start a Cameron Hanekom….Kolisi is also long over his best. Rassie is absolutely stopping the natural flow of things…..

When the old is done bring in the new and build for the future…all you ever here him saying is the importance of player depth, but he does fokhol!

Then off course his other most important agenda, his helping the oldies like Willie, reaching there desired caps….who the Fuck cares??!!

Nov 11, 2024, 08:53

That’s the problem - Rassie fucked up by selecting the likes of Willie, Mapimpi, Reinach, Koch and Mostert - all too long in the teeth and none essential

Add the selection of v Staaden to that list given he is crap and we have 6 players that should not be there and who should have instead been 6 young players

The match against Wales would have been the perfect opportunity to play a young side

Nov 11, 2024, 08:55

I think for the next match Rassie needs to go with his best team. My pick would be

  1. Stenekamp
  2. Marx
  3. T Du Toit
  4. Etzebeth
  5. RG
  6. Kolisi (No other 6)
  7. PSDT
  8. Wiese
  9. Williams
  10. Pollard
  11. Moodie
  12. De Allende
  13. Kriel
  14. Kolbe
  15. Fassi
  16. Ox
  17. Bongi
  18. Louw
  19. Klein
  20. Hannekom
  21. Hendrikse
  22. Hendrikse
  23. Arendse
I know this team might be a bit too white to start but that is our best team right now. We need to get the best 8 on the park to start and get them to play as long as they can. If we can get them to play up to 70 min for this game, great. Those on the bench have real explosive power and change a game.

For Wales, I would make sure combinations are picked.

  1. Stenekamp
  2. Grobbler
  3. Wilco Louw
  4. Klein
  5. Mostert
  6. Kolisi
  7. Louw
  8. Hannekom
  9. Hendriks
  10. Hendriks
  11. Arendse
  12. Esterhuizen
  13. Am
  14. Moodie
  15. Fassi

Nov 11, 2024, 09:05

Pls explain how you can start a Thomas Du toit again on TH when he was not solid yesterday??

He was also not solid against a 39 year old porra LH prop.

Wilco Louw is a specialist TH just like Malherbe and much better equipped to anchor our scrum .

It was obvious that our scrum only started settling once Vincent Koch, also a specialist TH, came on.

Wilco Louw is the way forward or a Carlu Sadie….Thomas is a better Loose Head Prop and that is a fact!

Nov 11, 2024, 10:24

There has to be a succession plan if there isn't one in place Bok rugby will implode after the RWC.

Nov 11, 2024, 11:08

The biggest challenge facing Rassie will be eventually letting go of players who he has had for some time and are like family. They have been through a lot together. Bonds have been formed.

Rassie has players devoted to the team and is emotionally involved. It's a very difficult time for our great coach.

Nov 11, 2024, 11:08

Wha bothers me = and I am ure Brown as well - is that the backline from an attacking  point of view was totaly impotent and that means some re-orginaion is necessary.

KC's backline seems to be the answer,    hee xception of the ebch were Willie le Roux would feature.    and not Hendriks,   Playes like Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Willemse is seriously missed from the backline.      Erasmus idea to have Le Roux getting a 100 caps before ending his career as a est player is certain tht he will somehow eature in the remaining two tests this year and will star in one of the july ests t be played is evident to get to his hudred caps.   He is at present on 97 caps and with only 3 to go he is bound to retuire by July 2025 from playig  test rugby.

.

Nov 11, 2024, 11:35

...and Ox is our best loose head by far.

- What the hell are you talking about Beeno Biscuits??? This is Rugby not The Waltons….

The older players has had there time and it’s time to move on!

Nov 11, 2024, 15:18

Bullshit re Thomas at tighthead we dominated virtually every scrum - he is a class tighthead

Wilco is our best option post Malherbe but Thomas is the perfect pussy off the bench

Nov 11, 2024, 15:31

It has nothing to do wih age.   We know Willie has another three tests to get to his 100 caps before retiring from test Rugby and Mostert was a stand-in player and showed nothing again on Saturday and the there are repacements for virtually every older player bar Marx, Etzebeth, Du T oit, and De Allebde, with Willemse an alernate all round backline player.

We also know that Kolisi and Pollard are going into the coaching  set-up.   We also know that  here are repacemen players for most other positions.   In the main better players than the incumbents. are all ovrhe show.

Nov 11, 2024, 15:40

There was 2 scrums where Tank had favourable scrums and that was exactly in the 20 mins red card period.

After the sub lock came on, Thomas could not get dominance over Pierre Schoeman.

The real scrum dominance came with the Bomb Squad pack. The time for Wilco is now not Post Malherbe.

How long must he still wait Honestly?? Until Malherbe is 36 and Wilco 33??

This is exactly the issue, Rassie is building on a old core and not really building anything new, or at least not enough.

He is not using the full potential of our Young guns… Mostert looked lost last night, so did Bongi, Kollisi and AM.

Van Staden Like you right fully asked, if he was even playing?? The time has come to move on and that will be the 25 season where real new building should be done.

Nov 11, 2024, 15:40

Any other rugby nation would salivate with the prospect of playing Esterhozen at centre…..but Dud will be back on Saturday with his unique brand of the slow motion tractoring and inability to anticipate anything,

Nov 11, 2024, 16:35

Bullshit re Thomas he was good in the scrums - the Bok scrum dominated most of the scrums despite having lightweights Mostert, Kwagga and v Staaden in the starting 8.

The real pack came on in the second half so shock shock there was more power when Marx, RG, PSDT and Wiese added their bulk

Thomas is a class tighthead - has been good for the Boks this year - he is a far better tighthead than Koch

Nov 11, 2024, 16:37

King what the fuck are you smoking - Steenkamp ahead of Ox - get a grip - Steenkamp is good but Ox is by some distance the best loosehead in the game

As for you not rating Arendse - that is just madness

Nov 11, 2024, 16:40

He also thinks Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu is destined for failure.

Competition for Baboon-ou, ou Maaik and Moffie as the biggest rugby noob on here . . .

Nov 11, 2024, 16:52

Van Staden Like you right fully asked, if he was even playing??

He was fairly involved in tackles and cleanouts, but he's not a player that's going to shift the direction of a game for you. Can't see him coming off the bench and doing a Kwagga against France, for example. Solid at best, but slow, which makes him a massive liability against fleet footed chaps like the Argies.

Nov 11, 2024, 17:11

He is so ordinary and given the looseforward talent we have at our disposal it makes absolutely no sense that he is getting test time

He cost us that 2nd Irish test loss coughing up possession as he did

Dumb muscle with little effect or impact

Nov 11, 2024, 17:53

Well Pakie that is the thing about Kwagga, he mostly makes his impact coming on when we find ourselves in a tight spot and turns the game in our favour.

Maybe I am wrong but if he starts, at 6 then…. But I really like to see Cameron start there, with Pieter 7 and Elrigh or Wiese 8.

It’s going to be totally interesting to see who Rassie starts and his bench for the England test.

Make or break stuff. And England will be capable of putting us away.

Nov 11, 2024, 17:57

Actually Dud Toit was the final act in the last  Irish test….feebly not contesting the ball right at his feet. Van Staden’s was an earlier mistake Dud could have rescued by denying the Irish automatic ball. Just a bit of pressure would have made a difference.

Nov 11, 2024, 19:45

Oh what absolute bullshit - it had nothing to do with PSDT

Useless v Staaden coughed up possession in the 80th inside the Irish 22

Nov 11, 2024, 21:08

The absolute truth…van Staden’s act occurred before Dud’s feckless failure to contest.

Nov 11, 2024, 21:17

What was he meant to contest? What exactly should he have done?

You speak utter shit

Nov 11, 2024, 22:01

At minute 77,23 Kwagga passes to van Staden who loses the ball in contact just outside our 22. Ireland make metres with the ball as Dud Allende lopes along and clear a rolling ball into the 22, that Sacha mistakenly handles into touch just outside our 22.

Ireland win the ball and execute a phase, then ….the runner falls right at Dud Toit’s feet, but his instinct is not to compete, he dances back from the breakdown. The ball is quickly recycled and Frawley makes the drop. Nobody else had a chance of slowing the ball.

Even a counter ruck would have probably done the job…Ireland were intent on the drop, the only useful tactic was to disrupt possession, not peal off to protect for a never going to happen   backline move.

Nov 11, 2024, 22:03

He was meant to compete for the ball on the ground like a loosie…but we all know he is a lock. If that was another loosie his first instinct would have been to compete for the ball.

So you were wrong about van Staden’s screw up and missed the bottle out..to use your parlance, you talk shit

Nov 11, 2024, 22:08

Mozart

The ehading of h i th resad is "Uncovincing by he Boks - bu your cotibtion is about you petred f Du Toi.   The topic and what you make of it is sickening.

Nov 11, 2024, 22:13

Speak to Dave, he claimed van Staden lost the test, I simply pointed out that Dud Toit had a chance to save it. Or tell us more about Esterhuizen.

Nov 12, 2024, 07:12

Ah so PSDT is more liable than v Staaden - I get it

Nov 12, 2024, 08:20

I saw some utter rugby ignorance on here re Thomas at 3

Seems like his player rating agrees with me

3 Thomas du Toit: He turned the screws on Pierre Schoeman for most of his stint and reacted wonderfully to score his first try for the Springboks. It’s a huge ask to fill Frans Malherbe’s void but Du Toit rose to the task and did so brilliantly. A brutally effectively shit from the excellent tighthead poop who is surely going to start again next week. 8

Nov 12, 2024, 09:38

Mampara power you are an ignorant psycho.

You obviously have no idea about the bonds formed by brothers who  have gone to war and triumphed.

Rassie because of these bonds formed with the players maybe tempted to hang on to some players a tad too long. It's a big challenge for him. I think Rassie will get through this challenge. Fact facts also, Rassie has great people skills, motivational skills. You can't underestimate these qualities

Mampara power not understanding relationships wouldn't have a clue about these things.

Stop showing your abysmal  ignorance mampara! Best zip it when you are out of your depth which of course is often the case. Hahahahahaha.

Rooitwit has great difficulty in judging players. He even thought Luke Watsom was better than Schalk Burger. Unfortunately for the dope Burger then won World Rugby Player of the year and Luke never had a Bok rugby career!

Bwahahahahaha. One of the biggest blunders ever on tbe board only really surpassed my ou mozzietard trashing Du Toit and Rassie. Those have been the worst blunders ever by anybody. :D

Nov 12, 2024, 13:25

Like I said before everything comes to a end and why prolong everything until it’s old and Rotten?

They are getting there farewell and last games and then it’s time to go….but you are carrying on like a old lady with a wet panty:)

And Dave get real Wilco is a far better TH than Thomas
