Bunch of babies brought onto the field. Are the Scots hungry?
Bunch of babies brought onto the field. Are the Scots hungry?
Great counter ruck from Stompies but they don't turn it over . . .
Stormers nearly get the ball with a decent counter ruck but Glas still has it. Clearance kick by 9 takes us just outside the Glas 22.
Not a great option to go blindside from the Stormers, touch wins.
Roos knocks on and Glasgow get out of jail.
Roos loses it forward in his little charge for the line.
Take the scrum!
Stompies win a scrum penalty bang in front . . . SFM going for poles . . . 3-0.
Scrum penalty Stormers right in front 5m out. They'll take the 3.
Jordan beating some tackles and getting Glas great momentum. They boot possession away though. Two great breaks by Jordan in that passage of play.
Stompies have a strong pack but their backs other than SFM are all pretty average.
Slaapman off, he looks a little confused. Schickerling replaces him.
Gelant makes a brilliant tackle to save a certain try but the Stompies lose Senatla to a yellow.
Brilliant ball to Kyle Steyn who is stopped just short of the line. Glas looking good with ball in hand.
Simple lineout move and Darge is over for Glas.
Oh dear, Stompies concede a soft one. 5-3 with the kick to come.
Horne converts and Glasgow lead 7-3. Stompies down to 14.
SFM drop kick attempt comes back off the upright and Glasgow back on attack . . . Stompies penalty.
Sacha's little grubber through the line falls perfectly for Glas and they're back on attack. Steyn scores off a little kick through by Tuipoluto.
Sacha kicks it away and Glasgow make them pay, keeping it in hand until Sione finally grubbers through for Kyle Rowe to score.
Rowe with the try yes, apologies.
Going a bit pear shaped for the Stormers. Glas looking sharp and dangerous, Stormers cumbersome and uncertain.
Penalty Stompies. SFM takes the 3. 14-6. Salman Moerat failed his HIA.
He did look concussed.
High ball snatched from under Gelant's nose. Possession changes hands a few times, Glas will have the scrum center field on the Stormers 10m.
Kyle Rowe beats Gelant comfortably in the air. Scrum Glasgow. Senatla back on!
I think the Stompies are still in this. One bit of magic . . .
How many scrum penalties before Glasgow get a yellow?
Scrum penalty Stormers as it goes down again. They can clear out of their territory.
Glas defense easily up to anything the Stormers do at the moment. Looking pretty pedantic for the Stormers.
Scrums not working, free kick Stormers.
Yes! Stompies get a perfect bounce and Senatla is in just minutes after he returned to the field.
1 point game!
Sacha's high kick off the free kick bounces perfectly for Senatla to gather and run through unopposed. Looked like a very ordinary kick but Glasgow caught ball watching a bit there and letting it bounce.
Now ex-Shark Henco Venter is over after a strong maul.
19-13.
Manie coming on? Not sure for who . . .
Manie is looking ready to come on.
It's Dan duP off, SFM to #12 and Manie to #10
Roos wins the penalty on the ground 10m out. Lineout 5 Stormers.
Ferrie concedes a penalty. He has to be close to a yellow.
Roos is just short and it's held up. Scrum Glasgow but the TMO is checking . . .
Stormers drive over, no grounding. Ref checking.
Short.
Why do they not repeat the best angle instead of wasting time watching 5 angles where you can see fuck all.
Scrum will be to the Stompies.
No try, scrum 5 Stormers.
Roos could be hard to stop here . . .
SFM gets a half gap but he's caught . . . it's another penalty to the Stompies.
Yes, Stompies go for the scrum . . . as they should have earlier.
Another scrum penalty Stormers. Ref telling Glas they can't scrum for shit but no yellow yet.
Hartzenberg was clear but the pass didn't come. Players lose all awareness when they go on these bashes.
SFM tries to do too much on his own and it's obstruction.
Sacha headless chickening and loses the ball.
Stormers should have scored there, one pass instead of the head down bash and they were over.
There's not a lot of structure in the Stormers play. Very Sharks like.
Roos with some go forward. Again hesitation from the scrummie as to which way to go.
And another chip through the line loses them possession again. About the third time they've done the same thing with the same result. Bankrupt.
Stompies backline botches another move and Glasgow back on attack
Now Hartzenberg loses it doing god knows what. Jordan makes another telling run, Senatla turns it over in the tackle and then Stormers can't complete their passes on the counter and it all breaks down again.
Glas hitting gaps at will but Stormers get the penalty. 19-13 Glasgow half time. Flattering score for the Stormers, they've been terrible.
Stormers have made 40 tackles and missed 19.
Sione stepping passt Hartzenberg to let off the Stormers pressure.
Rowe over but there was a knock-on and a forward pass
Glasgow manages to somehow not score. Easily exposing the space out wide, can't get the final passes to hand.
Great try, created by Manie and finished by Senatla. Brilliant play.
Finally a decent backline move, great work by Manie with the delayed pass and Senatla sprints over for his second.
SFM pulls the conversion,
19-18 to Glasgow,
Aimless kick by Manie and Glasgow on the attack . . .
Sacha hooks the conversion, 19-18 Glasgow.
Zulu boy is having an awful game. So much for the best player in the world
Jordan with the break and Rowe with the try. Jordan has been a menace.
Jordan does brilliantly and now Kyle Rowe must score . . . yes. Good play.
Glasgow back to 8 ahead. 26-18.
Ja Jordan is catching the flyhalf shine today.
Darge making acres of ground down the left. Glas recovers their high kick and keep rumbling.
Venter now making yards through the Stormers tackling. Slow progress though and they go for a terrible high kick by the scrummie who ends up knocking it. Stormers kick away their possession and now Glas has it again.
Steyn knocks the high kick and Stormers now attack.
Stompies need a big impact from their bench.
Zulu boy kicks the ball aimlessly away
And they boot it away, marked. Clearance up to the 10m.
Nope, George Horne finishes off a length of the field run and it's probably game over now.
Goodnight Pakie.
Botched Stormers lineout. Glas again finds space out wide and they score through Horne off Rowe's pass. Too easy, so much space out wide.
Night Rooi.
33-18
Now Roos runs onto and knocks a Sacha pass which may or may not have been meant for him. Stormers definitely doing a Sharks here.
Sione finds a huge gap and makes far too many meters through some poor tackling. Glas has the penalty, they'll take 3.
36-18
Stormers get a penalty for obstruction, probably go for the lineout 5. Yes.
Their maul doesn't work. Sacha again going himself and gets carried back 5m.
Another penalty on the 22 Stormers. Manie for touch. Lineout 5 again.
Couldn't watch the game due to internet issues.
Well done in the thread though.
Will catch tomorrow's games and hopefully the SA teams can win
Maul better set this time. They go wide where Gelant knocks it, but another penalty. Lineout 5 again.
And AH Venter knocks it as he breaks around the maul.
Didn't miss much Plum. Jordan's been fire though.
The way the scrums have been going Stormers may have another penalty soon here.
Early push though and Glas has the free kick. Clearing into the Stormers half.
I see Dobson has shifted Sacha to 12 for the second half.
I really can't stand the idea of shifting one of the best backs to 12, where he is far less effective and has much less opportunity to make things happen.
I know the WP will defend him to the hilt but Dobson has really lost my vote this season.
The Stormers look like a complete shambles unless they're playing against bad teams that they can flex on.
Another Gelant moment as he tosses the ball behind his back to no one with the Stormers hot on attack.
How has Sacha, Pakie?
Their 12 is injured so Manie has to take flyhalf.
Sacha's been terrible.
Stormers win another scrum penalty, annihilates the Glasgow scrum.
And the Stormers just about tosses their lineout ball to Glasgow who rumbles it up to halfway wehere they get penalized again. Glasgow has been leaking penalties like a bucket that's eaten too much buckshot. 14-3 is the count.
I think Sacha will do better in a team like the Bulls or Boks where he has a coach that knows how to create cohesion and get the best out of players
And the Stormers lose it again. Jeez Loooweez.
Ja the Stormers have no plan. They had the one good move for a try in the second half, other than that nothing's happened. Even there just now they had lots of space out wide and then they cancelled it with the short pass before just losing the ball.
Another offload to nowhere from the Stormers but they have another penalty.
Stormers knock it again.
Tom Jordan has made 100 meters beating 8 defenders with 4 clean breaks and setting up Rowe's second try. My MOTM.
Stormers sitting at 62% tackle success.
Henco Venter off after a great game.
Roos struggling to outmuscle Rowe. How strong is the dude really?
Awful play by the Stormers. This is what happens when you have Libbok and Zulu boy on the same field. Hartzenberg was useless at centre and Gelant was nowhere.
I said it before, these coloureds can't tackle. They love flashy rugby
Gelant throws a kak pass to Loader as the Stormers try to counter out of their own 22. Lineout Glas.
Yeah KC there's too much flash and no one steering the ship. Looks great against poor opponents, looks shit tonight.
Glasgow's achilles heel is their scrum and maybe their penalty rate, which has been abysmal tonight.
Oh, where is Moderate, saw nothing from him. What a waste of space
All over, 36-18. One lucky bounce and one good backline move for the Stormers, along with some scrum dominance. Glasgow probably lucky not the get a yellow or two given their penalty rate, but despite a useless scrum they still smashed the Stormers.
I overslept got my times wrong ...
Lekker Blobbie. The sleep was better for you, believe me.
Darge gets MOTM. Fair enough, 22 tackles and a ton of work. I still fancy Jordan.
Ja Pak , Bulls at 11.30pm tonight unless I nod off
Atrocious defense by the Stormers lost this one. Sacha tried to do too much….that said his centers were hopeless outside him. Libbok created a try, but his defense was awful and finally that high open field cross kick resulted in an opposition try….just when the Stormers had gotten to within a point. Another disappointment on the day was Roos who did little positive except for one turnover, and was carved up by Jordan in one of his runs
Glascow by contrast with much less possession and much less territory were water tight on defense and ran some spectacular lines.
Only the starting front row and Senatla came away with credit today.

Eventually it show’s…..this hot stepper Backline of the stormers can’t defend even if there life depended on it…..
Now a person also understands why a guy like gelant is not a Bok….
Hartzenberg at 13?? Come on Dobbo what are you smoking??
Sacha was like a jack in the Box, all over, but really did nothing. And that will always be what she wrote when it comes to Manie……
Great guy to have when things go well, but when things go tight and you need more than a cross kick, he is not the guy…
What a pathetic showing other than 1 or 2 good scrums…..
Congrats Glasgow, they played like winners…..
The video above says exactly what I have been saying about the Stormers.
In particular, I place most/all of the blame on the coach. There are hardly any new players in this side. Most of them have been with him for years now. Yet, they can't defend, their attacking structures try to emulate anime rugby with each guy believing he's some sort of ninja and their game management is horrendous.
Galant is a perfect example. Game after game he does one good thing and ten retarded things. Why has he never been reined in? Why is he still allowed to do the absolutely insane stuff that he does every single week and that invariably costs the Stormers swathes of ground and often points too? Why has he not been told to stop the theatrics and bullshit and play serious rugby?
It boggles the mind to think that a coach is watching him play and never thinks to tell him that rugby isn't basketball. That not losing ground is the first priority and that 50/50 passes are a once in a game type thing and not every time you get the ball thing?
You watch Galant trying to goose step in his own 22 with 3 chasers hunting him, or running crazy lines and chucking total freshie passes...I would drop him instantly. Not only doesn't he get dropped, there is apparently no balls/motivation/wisdom to tell him to take his job seriously and stop treating professional rugby like it's a backyard game that he and his chommies are playing at a braai.
And you have to wonder, when there are failings as obvious as Galant never being reined in, how many more less obvious failings are there?
Well, you watch the Stormers and the proof is the pudding. It's only the really shitty sides in the URC that allow for the Stormers to make the playoffs. Remove the Italian and most of the Welsh sides and where are the Stormers? Nowhere.
Sure they don't have the amount of Boks that the Sharks do, but they have a decent amount and the rest are all seasoned pros playing at a top club in SA.
Sack the bloody coach already and get a serious rugby person in the chair.
...or keep eating Jake's dust.
It’s not only the coach that must go, include some of these clown players to….do it right this time!!
Go Bulls make us proud today!!
The fans are as much to blame. They perpetuate this by cheering these ballet dancers when they do their little dummies and flicks and behind the back passes and cute grubbers against poor opposition, too stupid to realize that none of that shit means a thing in a proper game of rugby against a worthy opponent.
In the build up to the match Dobson was talking very confidently, flying out to Glasgow a week early, good preparation, good mentality in the camp and I suppose you don't wan to talk yourself down but I didn't think the Stormers recent performances and overall performances this warranted warranted such confidence.
I like Dobson as a guy, he comes across really well in interviews but that did not look like a well coached team yesterday evening. Probably a team for him to move role.
Do get the impression that for all the talent the South African franchises can field on the pitch they are not particular well coached at franchise level, with White being the best of the current crop. That's not to say SA coaches are bad in general as both Franco Smith and Johann Van Graan are doing quite well up north.
Franco made Dobson look like a beginner - Stormers completely exposed defensively and tactically. Great display on how to open up defences
Toothless display by a Stormers side lacking quality props, a blindside and a pair of centres
Dan du Plessis has regressed to a nothing these days - was so good last season
Jordan is a class act I said he should have been a Lion and he showed why - plays 10, 12, 13 and 15
I don't think the pack was that bad, but Moerat was nowhere. He is supposed to be our go forward ball player. Roos had a really bad game. Only one trying at least. The props are a joke for sure.
They missed BJD, VAN Heerden was solid.
But Zulu, Hartzenberg, Gelant, Libbok were all kak. How poor was there defence
Then Zulu tried way to much.
Might have been a good opportunity to move Roos to the centre. I wonder why coaches don't work on plan b or c.
You here Rassie say that if he runs out of backs. He has forward like kwagga that can cover the backline.
If you got that route then you have to think outside the box.
Ja, Franco is a quality coach
Moerat was concussed early on, KC.

I don't say this often but . . . come on Stompies!!!
