Fuck me we should have won that game, we controlled that second half, smashed them in the scrums, had some good attacking opportunities that nearly got us home. That skew throw on their line by Fourie which was a marginal call, we smashed them in the tackles and then of course that joke of a call by the ref at the end saying the ball was not out

The better and more dominant side lost on the day I’m now convinced of that

As for DA great hands to set up the Kolbe try - try assist of note

Oct 03, 2023, 09:43

LOL, "try assist" is when you throw a scoring pass, not when you handle the ball sometime during a move. You can see Esterhuizen doing the exact same thing at 67:00 against Romania in setting up the Mapimpi try.

I know Pakie but without that classy pass to Libbok there was no try. Ignorant twats on here keep telling me DA has no skill. That pass was pure skill

Romania vs Ireland hmmmmm

Oct 03, 2023, 10:12

Pure skill? :silly:

Oct 03, 2023, 10:16

Yep pure skill

Oct 03, 2023, 10:16

Clearly a well practiced move, Dave. Pulling off that little pass is the very least you'd expect an international back to be able to do.

Oct 03, 2023, 10:28

It's going to be a long two weeks before the Boks play again (if the unthinkable doesn't happen) :D

Oct 03, 2023, 11:16

I said after the match the Boks were dominant in the second half. It was a match where  we threw away a win with some help from the ref.

Of course poor Deus drew all the wrong conclusions.

Oct 03, 2023, 11:24

The Boks were clueless, poorly coached, and shot themselves in the foot. The Irish always looked like the better team, even in a performance which was below their usual standards. There for the taking, and the Boks prove, even then, to be inadequate. Erasputin's reign is become an exceedingly long list of excuses and deflections.

Not only is Esterhuizen just as strong as Allende, he is a much better offloader of the ball….DDA has been suspect for a long time already and does not deserve the starting spot…..the same with Lost Kriel….but not to worry, Tassie promotes Duds so the Allende will stay.

Oct 03, 2023, 11:40

Correction Mpower, Damian is not very strong; Esterhuizen is one of the most powerful players in world rugby. That has been one of the biggest myths pertaining to Damian. He was never a strong or powerful player.

Oct 03, 2023, 13:16

Geez Dave have we got to the point where Dud Allende throwing a perfectly ordinary pass is a cause to celebrate… damn, hold on, you’re right.

Oct 03, 2023, 15:12

That's always been the way with DDA.

It's what, over time, he's done to fans.

He brought the bar down so low that bog ordinary stuff is considered classy.

It's been the case for at least the last 4 years...closer to 6.

Oct 03, 2023, 16:15

You have to be a complete one eyed bullduster to say Allende is not strong. Outright shameless lies.

Esterhuizen gets the edge on strength but to say Allende is not a strong center is pathetic.

No more lies please.

AE's collect and quick pass while backtracking, against Tonga...

That's an incident more closely resembling class.

AE's base efficiency towers above DDA's ceiling.

It's getting to the point that when I'm watching AE I can't help wonder why any coach wouldn't build a backline around him? For me, he is in that sweet spot size wise. That size where he can take on any opposition player and likely win the contact.

DDA doesn't have that.

I can't see DDA winning the contact against Eben much of the time. I have my money on AE getting the better of Eben a respectable percentage of the time. I'm gonna say AE would win the contact more than half the time.

Indeed, why wouldn't you build your backline around such a man!?

Damian usually gets dumped on crashballs by small backs. He lacks any kind of power. If you tackle him high, or side-on grabbing up, he lowers his upper body and pushed for a small gain into contact. Of course, but the time we have the ball, the defence has reset. There's no fast ball from a Damian carry. Esterhuizen can literally smash anyone in world rugby. How many players can say they knocked Kerevi on his backside from a standing position? It takes some strength to absorb the inital impact and generate enough force to repel him. Esterhuizen is a stronger version of prime Frans, and that is saying something. Frans was a freak of nature. Erasmus is a dumb coach, and that's been a hallmark of his entire coaching career. Taking teams and regressing them. No team has ever been developed and improved. None.

Oct 03, 2023, 18:06

Nothing ordinary about that pass at all but my point was that a number of you keep telling me he has no skill which clearly is a load of shit. There is no way a player with no skill would have amassed the number of caps he has in the most important position in the team.

Especially considering the quality of the competition around him in Esterhuizen, JVR and Serfontein - all class acts in their own rights but DA has reigned supreme and rightly so

Oct 03, 2023, 18:37

Damian has never had a quality test. There's a reason why he is at the bottom of all time lists for great centres. He is a poor man's Muller.

Oct 03, 2023, 18:42

Shut up you fucking ignorant prick

Anything you have to say about rugby or a player is a load of shit

Just fuck off you pathetic irritant

Kriel more dangerous an attacker than Am

Case closed fuckwit
