Welsh B side to take on the Boks

These are always hard games to navigate - Boks have everything to lose, Welsh zero to lose but then again we can’t read too much into these warm up games as none of the players will be going flat out in fear of injury

Aug 16, 2023, 17:39

It's really just a waste of time. None of these games have been used purposefully. Unless Erasputin has been bluffing hard, and the Boks rock up at the WC with a total overhaul in gameplan and starting xv, he's done utterly nothing. Wales on the otherhand will benefit more from the reps.

Aug 16, 2023, 17:50

So far the boks are 4/5. But a lost by such a big margin is hard to swallow.

Then, the boks should never experiment and should always aim to win the game, especially against this Welsh side.

Just hope they don't get sucked into Warren ball. We have the personel out wide and should put the Welsh away comfortable

We have a big glass jaw, and a very soft underbelly. We are not so good that a team like Wales cannot win. It doesn't depend on how good we are, we are there for the taking. It depends on if Wales are man enough to go hunting. A soft passive test pads the Bok calendar.

Dripping Contempt for the Boks by Deus. He can't disguise it. Glass jaw, soft underbelly.

Go and join Rooitwit and support the Welsh.

Beeno Doos is the most negative boring and ignorant prick that has ever graced this board

A fucking parasite

Aug 17, 2023, 07:33

It is strange about Deus. Briuant political comments, very odd rugby comments.

Aug 17, 2023, 09:04

Odd? Everything verifiable in game film. Thus far, this season, as always, the karp only drown themselves in egg when they have challenged me. Saddex's one big attempt, first ever, was a colossal disaster.

I'm not so sure. In a recent interview, Nienaaber said the following...paraphrasing...

"We know it's been very tough on the guys to have a different team each week. But we now have about 3 games heading into the WC during which to build combinations."

I mean, 3 games?

It doesn't inspire me with confidence. Heading into the RC we should have known what our best team would be for WC and we should have been refining those combinations all of this year already.

I mean, that is what everybody else is doing.

You don't see the kiwis still wondering about their squad...or changing their team very much this year.

Why do we have to?

And the omission of Jantjies, in my view, is a clanger of decision. Probably the biggest mistake I can think of.

Aug 17, 2023, 09:52

Faf...Elton...AE...Willemse

Tell me that isn't our best combination.

Aug 17, 2023, 12:06

Faf used to be a disruptor, but now he is just a podgy poor man's Januarie. He can't kick, can't pass. His only asset was pressure.

Aug 17, 2023, 16:53

YAWN

Aug 17, 2023, 17:32

Why don't you review the wonky kicks of Faf in the 2019 WC Saddex, It would prove enlightening, had you eyes to see. Almost as enlightening as your lesson on Mostert and the final goal-line stand. :D

Aug 17, 2023, 17:37

Biggar and Liam Williams are out of the match on Saturday.

Aug 17, 2023, 18:30

Apparently Biggar has a Back irritation and Williams a tight hamstring….precaution for WC.

Aug 17, 2023, 18:34

Deus Faf might be having a drop in form, but not a guy you would leave behind….he is improving.

Aug 17, 2023, 18:39

Faf was great in his last game - Doos speaks shit every time he opens his ignorant mug

Aug 17, 2023, 18:49

Mpower, Faf is not good. You can have a guy like Faf, playing like he did in 2016 to 2018, but only if you have a Du Preez for when you need a real 9.

Aug 17, 2023, 19:05

Nah I feel faf is a excellent scrum half…there is also enough video footage ( not from years ago) that show his worth…he is still a disrupter, although his Kicking game can be a bit inconsistent, it’s still of a high standard, Aggressive defender, amazing runner with ball in hand, great service from behind the scrums….just because he has lost a bit of form, you can’t just discard the guy or say he is useless….to many variables to consider.

Aug 17, 2023, 19:15

Faf is a great 9, was the best 9 in the game in 2019

Aug 17, 2023, 19:30

Faf has never ever been a top 10 9 at any point in his lifetime, and he never will be. His distribution is always sloppy. He has a very short range, he even struggles with passes a few metres away. His kicking has always been poor. We saw it throughout 2018 to 2019. All the way through the World Cup. Faf's only positive was an ability to pressure the opposition. He doesn't do that anymore. He has been quite emphatically outplayed from 2021 to 2023. In fact, the way we saw New Zealand's 9s control the game against us, especially the second half, was quite depressing. We don't have a world class 9 on that level. However, we have several options better than Faf. Faf and Libbok are worse than Lambie and Reinach on the 2014 EOYT. That's saying something. If this is the route Erasputin wants to go, he is in for a rude awakening. I'd rank this duo as the worst ever halfback pairing for the Boks. I can't think of anything less skilled or dynamic, or capable on even a rudimentary level. It's awful. The net result is awful rugby.

Aug 17, 2023, 19:44

Well not so very long ago the Two combined quite nicely, resulting in a try for Libbok….but yes they have not been playing together for long, so naturally there will be miss haps….our whole approach is a bit up side down this time around, but so is other teams also with losing important players…we must just adapt as best we can….Let’s hope Rassie has got some secret plan with all of these unexplained and bizarre decisions that happened….Is there a Method in the Madness ?

Aug 17, 2023, 19:48

Mpower don’t bother responding to that ignorant prick

His pathetic negativity about virtually every SA player is nauseating and so far from the truth

I’m done with the twat - utter waste of time responding to the twat

Aug 17, 2023, 20:08

Spoken like a true neo-lib. I can't hold my own in a debate, so I'll just push my fingers into my ears and scream the offence away until I turn purple. Saddex, you've been effortlessly dismantled. Spare us the yawns, if you're truly done, then just be silent. If I don't want to acknowledge something, I don't need to go looking for attention like a little toddler in announcing how much I don't care, I simply don't say anything. If only your owners raised you properly.

Aug 17, 2023, 20:12

How on earth has Faf never been in the top 10?

Deus, I'm not sure what you want the players and coaches to do.

Should they all just go home and forget about rugby?

Aug 17, 2023, 20:22

Plum you seem surprised

It’s fucking Doos

Remember this clown had us believe that when PSDT won world player of the year that in Doos’s world he was ranked 19th, so in effect behind the Sri Lankan blindside at the time

Aug 17, 2023, 20:31

Faf is definitely top 10…Rugby is a fast paced and Highly Skilled Brutal Sport….that is why we love it so much : ) Because the game is this way, it is very very difficult to keep that level of consistency under the immense pressure….Faf just like Fourie, are Die Hard guys with skill…Fourie was a more consistent performer, but had lapses to….So faf is definitely a guy you want on your side just like Mostert…Video Footage don’t lie : )

Aug 17, 2023, 20:32

PTSD was ranked 19th for production. That's not an opinion, that's an unbiased fact on the basis of what he did.

As per what I want from the players? I want a 9 who can pass reliably and with range. I want a 9 who can kick accurately. We don't play off if 10, therefore it's imperative that our 9s have fundamental skills. We don't need runners, we need fundamentals. We have too many runners who cannot execute basic skills. I don't think I'm reaching for the stars here.

Aug 17, 2023, 20:46

YAWN

Aug 17, 2023, 20:55

Hendrikse and Williams is the guys coming thru… there basics skills is fairly good but not better than Faf,s…Reinach has the same amount of Basic skills …Are you suggesting that they are all inadequate?

Aug 17, 2023, 21:14

No Mpower all our 9’s are useless all our players are useless except Kwagga who is by far our most valuable player despite effectively never starting a game

But he is that special that he is able to influence the game while warming the bench or sitting in the stands as he will be doing on Saturday

Aug 18, 2023, 10:37

A 9 that can pass far and fast is nice.

But it's not as beneficial as having a 9 that passes close to the level of the best passer and adds more value in other facets.

Let's also remember the perfect WC final that Faf played. A consummate, dogged, and inspiring professional.

Faf's highlight reel!!!???? I challenge anyone to provide a highlight reel as downright badass as Faf's.

Not in the top ten but guided SA to a WC and Lions win?

Very difficult to agree with.

Aug 18, 2023, 12:17

But it's not as beneficial as having a 9 that passes close to the level of the best passer and adds more value in other facets.

I can make a highlight real three times longer of him missing passes. Easy passes. He doesn't add much value elsewhere. Likes to get penalties now. Or yellows cards. He has ventured onto petulance now. Faf is a 4/10 scrumhalf.

Aug 18, 2023, 14:08

I have watched a lot of Faf and for some reason, I don't recall all those missed passes.

Aug 18, 2023, 14:11

Faf is a class act one of the best 9’s in the game

We are blessed with so many good 9’s right now but Faf is still our best
