To put their B side in against Scotland to kick us out of the WC - one way of eliminating a strong side with the history of winning the comp

We are massively ahead in the points differentials. We need to pile it on against Tonga.

Scotland will beat Ireland.

Scotland is on now, this is just their 2nd game. (Only played the Boks so far).

So if the Scotties beat Tonga and Romania with 3 Bonus points and IRE then we are out? Or how does it work?

The Irish played hard but fair. Let's see what they do.

To start with why are the number I, 2 and 5th Ranked teams in one pool.
Also it looks like it was going to be the number 1,2 3 and 4 ranked teams playing each other in the Quarter FINAL ( IRELAND, South Africa, France and New Zealand)
This is sheer nonsense. The other two pools have it easy.
Now Ireland can add to the fiasco by throwing the game against Scotland.
So the number two ranked side who lost the test when penalties just missed the posts go out.
If this happens it shows the RWC is a complete farce.
However, I believe this Irish team has more pride in itself than to do this. They probably want to win the RWC going unbeaten. They would then be on a world record of 20 consequetive tests unbeaten. That record in terms of Rugby Greatness will raise the question is the Irish side the greatest ever.

So we will see what Ireland does.

In the pool stage of the Rugby World Cup, if two or more teams finish with the same number of points, the following criteria are used to determine the pool rankings 1:

  1. The winner of the match in which the two tied teams have played each other shall be ranked higher.
  2. The team which has the best difference between points scored for and points scored against in all its pool matches shall be ranked higher.
  3. The team which has the best difference between tries scored for and tries scored against in all its pool matches shall be ranked higher.
  4. The team which has scored most points in all its pool matches shall be ranked higher.
  5. The team which has scored most tries in all its pool matches shall be ranked higher.

If the tie is unresolved after steps 1 through 5, the rankings as per the updated Official World Rugby World Rankings will determine the higher-ranked team 1.

Please note that these rules are specific to the Rugby World Cup and may vary in other rugby competitions.

I really wish South African fans would knock it off with the conspiracy theories.

It's seems then that if Ireland lose against Scotland and Scotland have more bonus points than us they go through. But the same could apply to Ireland?

Ireland though will know exactly what they need to go through when the play Scotland in the penultimate game of Pool B on7th October. Seems they  will probably need to win the game to go through.

What say you?

No kidding. All people  have a right not to be a slave that is why WeThePeople had slaves.

Liberals and their double standards, it shows at all levels.
