Ben J Dixon seems to lack that mongrel hard edge. I mean I like the guy, but not as hard as Pieter or Elrigh Louw.
I really had high hopes for him, but his last performances for the Boks and then after that his outings for the Stormers , has been disappointing.
Hopefully he can get better, he does have a good size. He needs to pick up his intensity and throw his body in there with more commitment.
For me I think Elrigh is our new 7 and Cameron our new 8. Someone that can play 6 for me is Marcel Theunissen from the stormers.
Then there is also the Thisituka Brothers that is really performing well.
Maybe maybe Dixon can Still make that step up. Don’t know KC but who is your favourite loose trio?

I don't know how this guy got selected as a bok. He never stood out for me at the Stormers and when I watch the boks, neither do I see him do anything good. Is he another Mostert. When he does carry the ball, he tends to just throw loose passes in contact.
I don't see him play that classic 7 role of being a hammer. Someone that can really get over the advantage line and make the opposition defence hurt. Best blindsided was probably big Willy O form Australia at the Brumbies. He had such great timing and was a beast. He would come from deep around the pack and then just smash through defenders. Such a smart player.
PSTD has improved so much, can't see who else in the world can match him right now. His physicality has gone up 10X
We had Juan Smith that was just a machine, lacked skills but so good. Then we had Andre Venter, probably the fittest forward on the planet. I met him once and he had this intense aura about him. He was not much taller than me as I'm 188 cm, but he felt so much bigger, lean and fast. New Zealand had Jerome Kaino, another beast. That guy was so brutal. Look what he did to poor lambie.
For me your 7 is the guy that cause hurt on the other team
