Just sitting here and thinking to myself which of the unions are the most successful in getting players capped.

I can't help be look at how many players the Stormers were able to become World Cup winners. The following players were all at the stomers when they got capped and went on to win a couple of world cups

  1. Kitsie
  2. Bongi
  3. Flab herbe
  4. Etzebeth
  5. Klein (Munster)
  6. Kolisi
  7. PSDT (Sharks, Stormers and then Japan)
  8. Vermeulen + Roos (cheetahs and then stormers, then became a journeymen between bulls, ulster etc)
  9. Jantjies (Not my favourite 9 )
  10. Libbok (Bulls and Saarks Reject)
  11. Kolbe (got capped after leaving the Stormers by Rassie)
  12. Dud Allende
  13. ---
  14. ---
  15. Willemse

Yet, Stormer was able to win the URC without a number of these guys. I wonder with their recent investment if they were able to lure some of these guys back how strong the Stormer will be.

Then, don't forget Pollard is a WP that got poached by the bools

Oh my goodness Pollie was born in Somerset West. Never knew that… also went to Paarl Gim….besides a SA union, Paarl Gim is a breeding ground for Future Boks and from there they go on to the Maties…that stocks the Stormers with a lot of there stars.
