Why was Sasha not the MOM last Saturday

The kid missed one kick, but made a monster. He was filling every defensive gap….testing the AB defense. And he won the game with some brilliant deep touch finders in the crucial period when we fought back from the final big deficit.

In that period Dud Toit did absolutely nothing remarkable to win the match. And he missed his lineout 15 meters out at 53.30. Following which he got himself  penalized 5 metres out. Apart from those two blunders…a few process tackles and one pick and go were all nothing burgers. He did make one good tackle on McKenzie which was needed.

This love of the blond man is so obvious….but seriously, Dud Toit was not the MOM. The forwards who turned around the match were Etzebeth when he came on and Kwagga at the end with crucial turnovers and a try.

Dud Toit is a Martian?

Valid Argument …Kwagga,s try was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

At one point in the match it looked like the All Blacks were going to put the game beyond a contest by scoring too many tries.

It almost looked like the Boks themselves were starting to look like they were beat.
One person I remembered continually fighting back wa Sasha, it looked like he was never going to give up. When the Boks won, my first thought that he should have been given man of the match.

PSDT was good as usual- but not a top ranking game by his own standards.

Could easily have gone to Sacha

PSDT was very good as always but no better than Sacha

Fassi was up there as well

I agree it could have gome to Sacha -  but what tip it in Du Toit's favour of his versitalty and also the fact that he outhonne all the 4,5 and 7 playes during the game.  As per normal h set an example which other players in the Sprigbok team to emulate.   Sacha is a class act - he will get dozens of MOM awards in future anyway.
