England won the last RWC after they beat NZ in the semis…we have won this RWC after we beat NZ in a warm up game. Remember what happened to England.
Who exactly has said we have won this world cup?
The same suspects that crowned England last time. Here’s the Guardian:
‘Ultimately, the abiding memory will be South Africa’s hunger, ruthlessness and sheer power. Their first pool game against Scotland in Marseille has assumed a fresh complexion, as has New Zealand’s opening night contest against France in Paris.
On this evidence, the world champions will take some dethroning.’
They will take some dethroning. Agreed. Some side will have to play very well. Doesn't mean we have won the RWC. It's possible but not certain.
Ireland and France with their stronger tight fives than the ABs are the teams with a shout. And if we face the ABs again, they will have a plan.
It’s a long way to go. But at least yesterday showed our veterans like Eben, Marx, Vermeulen and even Dud Toit haven’t declined
much.
Yeah, for it's me just lekker to see them hitting their straps.
And nothing wrong with laying down an early marker.
Every pack we'll face in the WC has been put on notice. There are a few Scott's shitting bricks the size of buildings as we speak. My poor countrymen haha
Assume you are a coach...how do you prepare for what everybody saw last night, and against Wales, Oz and Argentina?
It's one thing to say you have to front up...but then you find yourself setting against Malherbe, Marx and Kits.
Bit like Tyson said "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face."
And I think it's a good parallel..prime Tyson and the current Boks. It's the machine everybody wants to be but somebody still has to try and beat it.
Even if we don't win the WC, the Boks are breathing some serious fire into rugby and everybody wins as a result.
Good on our manne.
You predicted it Plum…good call
Hoped, called...it's all the same lol

One of the best games I saw him play.
Who ever wins in Pool A and B will be the undisputed champions.
There are always those wins that cast a shadow over winning the cup.
But to be honest, England thrashed New Zealand, but lost really poorly to the boks.
The thing about this tournament is that you have to play your best in every game and its your longevity and squad prep.
Even in the 6 nations teams gets breaks and the tournament pauses. Here you have to play for 7 weeks straight. No rest
The boks can't put a b team out against Tonga

After the Bok win against Wales last weekend, the Boks moved from 4th to 3rd in the world rugby rankings.
The All Blacks were number 2 in the world, but after yesterday's game, the Boks should go to 2nd in the world.
So if the Boks beat Ireland in the group stages, (and not lose to Scotland) - the Boks would probably go up to 1st in the world rugby rankings.
If the Boks go all of the way to win this world cup , it would mean that the Boks would finish high above all other teams in the IRB rankings. That would be the undisputed best team in the world.
Still a long way to go yet...
