In a daring shuffle to their lineup, the Vodacom Bulls are set to charge into their upcoming clash against the Dragons with a revamped back three. The match scheduled for Friday night in Newport sees Canan Moodie making a tactical shift from centre to the left wing. The reshuffle doesn't stop there, as David Kriel moves from fullback to right wing and Devon Williams steps up as the starting fullback.

The rejig comes in response to injuries sidelining key players. Kurt-Lee Arendse, usually a pivotal player, is out with a dislocated finger, and Cheswill Jooste is nursing a foot injury. Stedman Gans will fill the gap at outside centre, adding to the team's dynamic changes.

The forwards see Cobus Wiese stepping into the second row, allowing Ruan Vermaak a breather on the bench. Mpilo Gumede gets the nod over Jeandré Rudolph as the substitute loose forward, and Paul de Wet is slated to provide scrumhalf cover, coming in for Zak Burger.

"We've had to adapt quickly, but the team's resilience and versatility are going to shine through,"

noted a team spokesperson.

Currently, the Bulls are positioned eighth on the URC log, demonstrating a solid performance this season, albeit with room to climb. Their opponents, the Dragons, linger in 15th place, setting the stage for what could be a fierce battle or a demonstration of dominance by the Bulls.

The team lineup for Friday's game is as follows:

BULLS – 15 Devon Williams, 14 David Kriel, 13 Stedman Gans, 12 Harold Vorster, 11 Canan Moodie, 10 Handré Pollard, 9 Embrose Papier, 8 Cameron Hanekom, 7 Elrigh Louw, 6 Marcell Coetzee (c), 5 Ruan Nortjé, 4 Cobus Wiese, 3 Francois Klopper, 2 Johan Grobbelaar, 1 Gerhard Steenekamp.

Bench: 16 Marco van Staden, 17 Jan-Hendrik Wessels, 18 Mornay Smith, 19 Ruan Vermaak, 20 Mpilo Gumede, 21 Paul de Wet, 22 Willie le Roux, 23 Sergeal Petersen.

This Friday's game will not just be a test of the Bulls' strategic depth but also an opportunity to rally and rise in the ranks, potentially turning adversity into advantage.
