In a bold move that screams confidence in their rising stars, the Sharks have placed their bets on junior standout Vusi Moyo to command the flyhalf position in their United Rugby Championship closing battle against Zebre this Saturday in Durban. Fresh from his exploits in steering South Africa to glory at the Junior World Championship in Italy and clinching the U20 Rugby Championship title, the 19-year-old prodigy is set to ignite the field in his URC debut.

Amidst a few strategic shifts in the lineup following last week’s trouncing of Benetton, Moyo's inclusion at number 10 isn't the only headline. Zekhethelo Siyaya, after a stint at pivot, reclaims his spot at fullback, showcasing the team's fluid adaptability and depth. The wing sees a reshuffle as well; Litelihle Bester is set to dazzle on the left, stepping in for the injured Makazole Mapimpi, while Jaco Williams transitions from fullback to right wing due to Edwill van der Merwe's absence.

The core of the squad remains unchanged from the one that dominated last week. The pack is once again anchored by the dynamic duo of Siya Kolisi and Emmanuel Tshituka in the loose trio, with Kolisi making a poignant final appearance for the Sharks before his return to Cape Town.

"It’s always exciting to see young talent rise to the occasion, and with Vusi stepping up, we’re expecting a dynamic game. The team has trained hard, and we’re ready to end the season on a high note,"

remarked Sharks coach JP Pietersen, signaling high expectations for Saturday’s clash.

The Sharks lineup for the showdown will see Zekhethelo Siyaya at fullback, flanked by Jaco Williams and Litelihle Bester on the wings, with André Esterhuizen leading as captain from the center position alongside Jurenzo Julius. The scrum is set with Bradley Davids pairing up with Moyo, while the formidable front row features Ox Nché, Eduan Swart, and Vincent Koch. Coming off the bench are Fez Mbatha, Phatu Ganyane, and a host of others ready to make an impact.

This mix of seasoned warriors and fresh blood underlines a thrilling season finale for the Sharks, as they look to capitalize on their home ground advantage against Zebre. With stakes high and spirits higher, all eyes will be on the young Moyo to see if he can translate his junior circuit magic onto the bigger stage of the URC.
