This is not only about "The Caravan". Do you know how long the border is? And what kind of terrain? Soldiers should always be armed and prepared for the worst...and there are lots of dangerous elements illegally crossing the US border too. It's not always women and children. He is obviously making a statement and drawing a line in the sand. He campaigned on strong borders. How else do you protect a border without a wall?
