Looks like Malan will be playing. Hopefully this is the last ODI series he takes part in without being a test side regular. Also, much to auntie Denny’s dismay, Shamsi should be in the team today. Looks possible that we’ll see Maharaj, Linde and Shamisi with Markram operating as a fourth spinner. Markram should also bat at 4, meaning we may see a few runs from him. Rooting for Kholi to get a score. Always been a fan of the bratty bastard.

And Malan is out early.

Oh cricket! Why!?

Bavuma and Quintie settling in.

Quintie with one of the worst dismissals I've seen from him. 27 runs.

Clean bowled with the one that skidded on.

Bamboozled even.

58/2

Another Dussen and Bavuma partnership is needed now.

Bavuma solid again today.

Dussen hits sends a free hit over the ropes for 6.

107/3

Bavuma gets 50.

Only 4 boundaries in the innings. He's swept the spinners well and rotated the strike throughout.

Bavuma and Dussen could set this up nicely if they stay around a while longer.

Interesting...this is o nly Bavuma's 3rd 50 in ODIs for the Proteas.

Feels like he's been around forever though.

151/3 after 31 overs.

That's enough of a platform.

Commentators keep talking about how slow the pitch is, pre-empting a low total.

Dussen has some crazy stats...

30 games

50s x 10

100s x 1

Average 69

200/3

India is a little under the pump now.

Our spinners will be harder to handle on this pitch than theirs.

They can't let SA get past 270 here.

Bavuma gets his 100.

Very good innings.

2nd ODI 100 for him.

Rassie also with a 100 now.

Looked solid and commanding throughout.

Came in when SA were under pressure and took over.

Bavuma finishes on 110.

Miller now.

And quick 20 from Miller would be great.

294/4 the total

Dussen finishing on 129 not out.

India should struggle with this score unless they have someone really turn it on for them.

I doubt India will be successful with this chase, especially with this specific pitch being so slow

Strangers things have happened

Great score by SA, and some very good batting indeed

Pleased to see the boys pull off another win against India after the tests.

VD at last had a useful knock but Markram must be dropped for his own good.

The guy was upset with himself when run out and you could read his distress when walking back to the stands.....he needs time off big time.

Bavuma once again had a good knock and was well supported by VD.

Perhaps it is time to replace Quinton as I feel he has lost interest in the team and the game.

Trust their form holds out for the remaining 50 over games.

No I don't follow every game but of the games I have had the  opportunity to watch he has not delivered.

But if his record in ODIs is great I will accept that fact and stand to be corrected.

Lol Draad…I don’t care where you post. Was just pointing it out in case you might wonder where your rugby post was. I agree AJ, Markram is a bundle of awkward nerves. That run out yesterday said a lot. Guy is feeling the pressure. Not sure whether he’s being badly managed or if he’s simply Boeta Dippenaar 2.0 haha
