Crowe to AB: Channel Madiba.

Sadly cricketing great Martin Crowe is terminally ill with a rare blood disease called double-hit lymphoma .

Pearls of wisdom from not only a great batsman but also from a very brave man who fought off a life threatening illness.

What concerned me a little was the report where AB said he was tired of cricket just before the CWC started. It certainly didn't show in his brilliant fielding performance against India, but it seemed like a strange sentiment for the captain to be sending just before battle. The Proteas have such a history of mental weakness, I would prefer not to hear this kind of stuff.

Well, it looks like Martin's advice had some bearing on AB's brilliant performance.

Thank you Mr Crowe, that despite your terrible affliction your'e still a great credit to this wonderful game...thank you for contribution from all and wish you a miraculous recovery.

Seb, it's indeed a miracle that Crowe needs . He fought bravely for a few years, then a period in remission before the monster, as it often does, returned with vengeance .
Today during the lunch break he'll be inducted into the ICC Cricketing Hall of Fame

Russell Domingo thinks he has the X Factor. Barry Richards thinks he has the Y Factor.....I'll singalong with Richards. P icture the Ozzie batsmen licking their chops at the prospect of facing the useless Parnell.

I haven't seen enough of the SA team to rate many of the younger brigade  ........ but what I've seen of Parnell hasn't left much of an impression, unlike my first viewing of Rilee Rossouw, btw can he bowl ?

Parnell??...No!

Rilee...Right arm off break, on the right wicket he could be useful.

Parnell as Shaun Pollocks says suffers from lack of game time.....he spends most of the time carrying drinks and is always on trial when bowling.....same applies to Abbott.

Both are fringe players, so its tough on them......but its reality. Parnell is better than Abbott.

Rossouw is going to be another SA great, the kid is pure class with the bat
