Cheers to the Proteas and Black Caps for one of the great one day games .

Our Saffa friends must be gutted but crikey they will never die wondering if they put it all out there .

If anyone calls it a choke within arms reach just demonstrate to them what that  is .With both hands...

Not all their fans, Clevermike wrote a whole thread slagging off Martin Guptill then pretty much writing off our chances, nice to see him nibbling on some humble pie...for all other proteas supporters I'm genuinely disappointed for them.

There was actually another pompous old windbag who wrote off the Proteas chances after they lost to "only New Zealand" in the warm-up games and who dismissed New Zealand's own chances in his typically sneering and contemptuous manner after I put up a post saying that the Black Caps were the team I least wanted to meet in this tournament.

That conceited and ignorant old tosser must be feeling pretty sheepish now . . . but knowing him he'll just lie and pretend he always rated New Zealand's chances.

I remember you being dismissed out of hand after saying you didnt want to see a NZ  SA semi .Your earlier summary of the up coming sides [ and strangely enough Sasue, who is not the least bit interested in cricket ] was on the button.

Wardad, IMHO, the pecking order was: Aus, India, SA and NZ. Home field advantage worked in your favour, as did our rain interrupted innings and loss of total overs at a late stage. Your boys stood up to the task and came through. It still is no guarantee that we would have beaten either India or Oz if we had to play them in the semies. I would pick the same pics again. I am going to support you guys in the final and for your sake I hope you pull through, but sadly you will again not be favorites. ..which may not be a bad thing in the end.

poi-e. Mike said a lot of things but after that piece he ended by saying it was going to be very close...which it was.

Umm, he had South Africa as 60-40 favourites, that's not that close in my opinion, he also said we only had 2 - 3 quality batsman and a sh! tty spinner.  You might think he gave us a chance, but he had all but written us off in his mind even during the game 'no sign of the choke in effect'....

He wrote NZ off again after the Proteas had batted....I don't think Moronic has played the game.
