Don't worry too much Cloudy,if the Black Caps win the toss and field/bowl first then the bounce at the "G" will see Boult taking wickets...I'm backing your side to make history...if NZ pull this off...they could be the first cricket/rugby side to take a double victory in both cricket and rugby (if the AB's win the RWC) in a year...imagine that .

The G can assist seam bowlers initially , but it has a tennis-ball bounce which can negate the potency of bowlers once a match progresses.

Funny enough Peter Kirsten  remarked that batting first was the best option, as much as his knowledge is I'm inclined to differ...NZ bowlers could have taken wickets...Melbourne pitch has bounce early but is fairly stable as the day grows...but the bounce is early...donkey years ago Frank Tyson slaughtered his opposition ...but many factors have changed, and that's not really what I'm saying...NZ's attack is the their strongest attribute...could have curtailed the game...Ozzies are the best al lrounders in the world and have winners mindset and are very professional and disciplined...ODI's are their specialities. Anyway well done to the best cricket record makers ever...awesome players. It's their confidence that is so hard to beat.

My sadness for NZ goes out...absolutely splendid effort and not disgraced...but well done Australia...the standards are so high and the guts of your players almost impossible to beat.

 Well played Australia... deserved winners
Hard luck New Zealand. Worthy runners up.

I would have loved to have seen McCullum lifting that trophy. I almost shed a tear when the criminal ancestry won... again.
