A great loss to SA Cricket - the only problem being that he should have done it in 2018 whenhis form took a serious decline and in staying when SA cricket was in drastic decline he damaged his image abdly.
One can only wish him well for the future.

He's barely played for SA since 2018 you idiot.
Farewell to one of our top 5 all time greats!
Thanks for the memories.
Not a big man he relied on perfect technique to generate pace….a bit like Louis Oosthuizen in golf. A joy to watch.
And hennie le roux in rugby.
Hey moz.
He was in the CWVC squad in 2019 and whenever he played he was a a disaster.
Oh do shut up Pervert
Hennie was amazingly strong I remember him carrying some huge bloke on his shoulders….can’t say I saw him play outside the WC though, getting coverage in the States in those days was tough.
Dale had everything, line, length and movement both in and away at pace. I rate him alongside all-time greats Curtly Ambrose, Malcom Marshall, Glen McGrath, Alan Donald, Michael Holding, Dennis Lillee and Wasim Akram.
I must agree that he was one of the greats of SA bowlers and deserves any honors that go with such an outstanding career.
Thanks Dale and may you enjoy as much success off the field as you did on it.
Dankie.
".....he was one of the greats of SA bowlers....."
No, he was much more....he sits alongside of the all time greats, he was world class.
Fixed!
Yes you are correct.
Thanks.
