Cameron Green......remember the name, potentially the next "big thing"
Dave and Mike
I read he was badly injured in a game against the India A side, I will keep om watching him. thank you,
He copped one straight on the melon off his own bowling, he saw it coming, ducked, but not quick enough to dodge the bullet.
In my opinion he's an allrounder in the Kallis mould, trouble is he's had ongoing back problems and at 6'6" it's a concern so the word is for him to concentrate on batting and to be sparingly used as a bowler. That's just bad luck because he's highly skilled in both, gets them up around the 145kms with good swing. All of that and he's only 22yrs old.
There's another young gun who there's huge wraps on but I'll bide my time before I make any comment.
Yes he is.
Well, there's one of ours at 22 years doing very well, spoke about him earlier in one of my recent posts, I questioned why he wasn't in the current squad. Right now he's accumulated his 4th first class century and right now he's on 180 runs not out off 224 balls. Go and have a look for yourself.
It's hard not to believe that rank ignorance and stupidity isn't at play.
His name....Raynard van Tonder
There is nothing that can be done about getting cricket track - the rot is too deep for that. Rugby was going down the drain as well and the Rugby Board panicked and realized they were going to self-destruct - so they sent their President and CEO to Ireland to plead with Erasmus to return to the country and save SA Rugby.
That put Erasmus in the position of strength where he was to become the real authority on test level and his conditions included NO Selection Committee and he will determine who will be in the coaching panel.
When Boucher and Smith was appointed by SAC why did they not insist on those two conditions as well? Now they are destroying their own reputation by becoming puppets without any real say in what is happening,
Sad to see that two Cricket Greats do not have the guts to stand up against their destroyers,
They've replaced the old CSA clowns with a new bunch of clowns. You can't knock consistency. It really doesn't see m to be about the cricket with these chaps.
Cameron Green has recovered to make his first test debut.....I can tell you he has the support of the cricket fraternity in the country.
You are right Dave - they should never got involved in the Cricket mess created by SAC. without setting conditions. Maybe they will end up forcing SDAC to get into line on their conditions - but that should happen soon before they lose whatever credibility they have,
