A NZ website has picked it's XI of the worst players at this year's CWC and Quinton de Kock (quite rightly in my opinion) makes the team . . . admittedly only as a batsman but he could have been the wicketkeeper for the Crap XI as well.
You can read the full article here.
This is the XI they came up with . . .
Dwayne Smith - Opener - West Indies (93 runs, average 15.5)
Quinton de Kock - Opener - South Africa (145 runs, average 20.71)
Gary Ballance - Batsman - England (36 runs, average 9)
Krishna Chadran - Batsman - United Arab Emirates (38 runs, average 7.6)
Eoin Morgan - Batsman/captain - England (90 runs, average 18)
Shahid Afridi - All-rounder - Pakistan (116 runs, average 23.2; 2 wickets at 141)
Luke Ronchi - Wicketkeeper - New Zealand (73 runs, average 12.16)
Kevin O'Brien - Bowler - Ireland (6 wickets for 408 runs, run-rate: 8.18)
Stuart Broad - Bowler - England (4 wickets at 63.50)
Mitchell McClenaghan - Bowler - New Zealand (0/68)
Kemar Roach - Bowler - West Indies (1/150)
Just as an aside, what a bunch of complete and utter arseholes we have for sports politicians! Imagine demanding quotas on the eve of such a big game after the side had already been chosen? No question in my mind these demands completely screwed up morale in the team and if reports are to be believed, neither AB de Villiers or Vernon Philander wanted to even play after the government interference.
Take a bow, ANC and CSA, you have screwed up a nations dreams with your petty, self-serving and racist demands. Excuse my language but what a bunch of c*nts!
