We were 170 for 3 with 15 overs to go and then our middle order and lower order decided to try smash everything ending up playing pathetically poor shots most of which went straight up into the air We had a last wicket partnership of close to 40 that got us to 209 England came out with guns blazing. Their very impressive left hand opener smashed is all over the park getting 88 of 40 odd They won comfortably by 6 wickets

I don't know if he has a test career in front of him but I know he's results are far better than Brian Lara's at the same age tournament. If he kicks on from here he could be in the loop for some huge dollars in the IPL.

He looks very measured and patient which impressed me. He plays the balls on their merit defending the good and putting away the bad and has every shot in the book Looks a real talent with a good head

Looks like a very promising youngster - but unfortunately he has the wrong pigmentation to play for SA.     

Lets see whether he gets an IPL bid?   Last year Marco Jansen got a bid from Mumbai for 20 lakh - small fry in that league worth about R400 000.    However, my estimate is that he may get about US$1 million  this year.

Don't know whether Brevis is on the list for sale this year - hope he is.   The Indians identify talent much quicker than we do.    

Sorry - but your comments will lead to an anti-Brevis campaign starting asap by Mozart.

Brevis is likely to be snapped up quickly by the England clubs and play for England as a result - chances of playing for SA is near to zero.
