dream start for the Protea attack. Credit to the bowlers especially Rabada who has a perfect read of the pitch but credit also to Markram, captain my captain who chose and rotated the attack to suit having a perfect read of the pitch himself. Started with my Jansen who was a bit wayward until he landed the right length and line...bingo! Markram tried Maharaj as first change, that it didn't work too well and after one over whipped him off and brought on Rabada whose read of the pitch was instant and accurate, the results speak for itself.

There'll be no choking in the run chase.

So Afghanistan amde 56 runs all out and one can only hold thumbs that the normal failures would even make  that total of 57 runs needed unachievable.

outstanding bowling

There's been several complaints from neutrals about the pitch.

Proteas have had some luck, if Rashid Khan had ignored his team mates and gone for a review then Markram would have been out and the score would have been 6/2

Incredible how Jansen took a wicket straight after bowling a couple of wides straying down legside.

Rabada was well...perfect...read the line and length like a book, he'll go down as one of our finest pace bowlers.

Reeza comes good

I want to see him come good in the final.....that would be real good.

To quote Markram....

For Markram, who led South Africa to the Under-19 men's title in 2014 in Dubai, it was all about making the most of good luck.

"I was fortunate to have lost the toss, I guess, because we also would have batted. But still the bowlers had to get it in the right areas and they did that," he explained.

Denny

I am quietly hoping that England somehow beats India - since SA did beat England in this series already and they would have a reasonable chance to beat England - while near to zero chance to beat India.

Based on your past success, you should keep your hopes even more quiet.
