Philander will miss the next 2 matches. I'm guessing the average Abbott and the useless Parnell will be in the 11. The Windies must be fancying their chances.

To be fair, Parnell did not have a good game but he had a few good ones against the WI......he lacks consistency, when he gets it right he is good, when he is bad he is terrible.

I'd rather have him in the side than Parnell, but we need Philander to mend.

de Lange should have been in the squad as the back-up seamer ahead of Abbott  

I don't mind Parnell, but he was kak against India but then most of our lot were.

It was poor.....not sure what they are doing with de Kock......he is certainly out of touch and seems to have been given the freedom to go after the bowling which is stupid when you go into a match with only 6 specialist bats.

It did not help with AB and Miller getting run out and Faf throwing his wicket away much like Amla did  

 What exactly has Philander done of late?  - Not much! In fact, one of the West Indies' commentators said that Parnell and Philander were the 2 bowlers they were targeting in the WC.

any bowler who consistently fails to read the wicket, any bowler who repeatedly land them short, wide and high and gets repeatedly carted to the boundary is glaringly stupid ... and that describes most of our bowlers with Parnell the worst of them all.  Steyn is perhaps the exception.

None of our bowlers has learned how to bowl into the blockhole.
