It's been a while since I've been excited with anything to do with the Proteas. But Keegan Petersen looks like he has the head and the technique to flourish.
I don't want to jinx him and please take it easy on me if he doesn't do amazingly...
But he looks solid.he has all the shots.He doesn't look phased during tough patches.


And he looks like he can bat for long periods.


PLUS he is a gun fielder.


I hope he becomes a cricket rock star!

His footwork is excellent….like all good batsmen his body position makes the shots he plays look easy.

He does look very sharp and unflustered.

Seems to have that tough mind that was mentioned on here recently. Always easier to be mentally strong when every else is well organised. Basically the opposite of Markram.
