I would hazard a guess that they would have sat down as a squad and nutted out a strategy to face Rabada's firepower.
I'd say they'd identified their batting as a weakness and the strategy would be to put more runs on the board.
Apart from AB the Proteas suffer the same batting woes....consistent low scores are not going to cut it against a quality side like Oz.
Amla is past it, Elgar is a scrapper, Faf, a brilliant captain is also getting on, Quinnie is running out of time to deliver and Markram is under a bit of pressure facing crickets best pace attack. AB is head and shoulders in a class of his own but cannot be relied upon to carry the flag on his own.
The Ozzies are masters at formulating plans and making it deliver.
