His aggressive, solid play sets the tone for the Proteas batting. And Rickleton is flourishing as well, establishing himself as a quality international number 3. The bowling is erratic, but somehow somebody seems to come good in each match. This is probably the best we have looked in any of the WCs so far. To win in T20 you need some luck, let’s hope they get some

Ja, we've been close so many times...I still prefer Rassie's "tactic" ( ;-) of slipping a match in the group stages...it makes the odds better.

Glad Markram is finally doing stuff of substance. He owes it to us after averaging poorly for almost 8 years and yet the selectors keep the faith.

I'd honestly have dropped him quite a while back...or turned him into a batting 6 or 7.

LMAO!

I haven't seen such a biased and ignorant statement since the two-time World Rugby Player of the Year was described as a talentless plodder.

Markram will go down as an all time great even if he never plays another innings. His century in the World Test final was the best innings I've ever seen.

You go Aidan . . . keep applying the egg.

Ai Rooi you're darem a bugger LMAO!

You'd have to excuse our resident blusterbum, Buttplug, at least he's being honest....for a change LOL

I've also read on here criticism of Aido's build, that he was too big to play cricket, that he had big shoulders, hell not sure if he wanted his shoulders removed LOL. So Ja, if it was up to some on here Markram would be long time gone.

The three posters who stuck with Markram however frustrating are Dave, Mike and myself and of course Shukri his coach, who is on record for saying to a Journo...."I don't why we're having a conversation about Aidan Markram."

Markram is an underperformer, has had more chances than Methuselah with a triple bypass, threw his wicket away today, as did Quinton. The pair of them cost us today's game.

Look at Rickelton’s footwork—it’s like he’s glued to the crease.

Oopsy!
