Flying under the radar our boy has come good taking wickets throughout the series.

'Australia were chasing the 173-run target quite comfortably and needed 10 runs to win in the last two overs. However, Corbin Bosch stood in the way. He bowled a fantastic 19th over, as he picked up the two wickets of Ben Dwarshius and Nathan Ellis. He also did not give away a run, thus bowling a double-wicket maiden. He now becomes the first player in history to bowl a double-wicket maiden in a T20I match against Australia.'

Thanks to be frank stopped watching criet yesteay and wswtrched to rugby after thinking the Aussie won the 3rd T20 match.

I have not watched the replays either but want to mention the follwoing about the match:-

  1. It is h igh time Markram is dropped from both the T20 and ODI squads - he is just a failure in those two versions of the game.
  2. I am not overly impressed by Stubbs either and would rather bring in Mulder to bat at 5 and leave Van der Dussen at 6.
  3. Also think that Mulder should take over the captaincy in both cases
  4. Brewis would go for multi million dollars in the IPL next year, I think he may even be the most expensive player at the January player auction and may become the most expensive player in the history of he IPl.
  5. Bosch is a special level player in all versions of the game and is also bund to end up with millions in he IPL next year,

In the series also broadcast to India Crickinfo use Indians to comment on each ball bowled and they kept making references to videos available to watch Brewis and I am sure Bsoch as well and provided info where Indans can watch them play,

Now back to AB - he is a very close friend and business partner of Kohli and I think Bangalore will be he side that pay millions to get hold of Brewis and also Bosch.I wonder if AB is still involved in dealing wth Brewis - the latter would be wise to get AB as his investment specalist as well.

I always watch the IPL auctions and one of the most expensive players last year - and one of the biggest financial flops ever - was Klaasen. He will not be bought again by any IPL team.

. . , .

18-year-old South African batter, Jorich Van Schalkwyk, has scripted history by becoming the first batter to smash a double-ton in men’s youth ODIs.

I somewhere mentioned the Van Schalwyk kid already as a cedit to what you post on site, Is their any video available on that double century you wrote about. Secretary - would appreciate it if you can post it as well.

By the way one of the IPL teams conracted a14 year-old Indian kid - while other franchises signed up a number of the Under 19 players - so if Van Schalkwyk continues on his merry way he will be before the age of 20 a very wealthy young player with millions in the bank

Appaerantly he is also lnked to AB - the same as Brewis, . ..

Just some ideas In anticipation of the T20 WC

  1. It is h igh time Markram is dropped from both the T20 and ODI squads - he is just a failure in those two versions of the game.
  2. Ja I know he's been a serial failure in the series but the trouble is who to replace him with, with the WC in 6 months time. How's about he bats at 5 in T20's but then he doubles as a spin bowler alongside of Brevis who is also a useful Leg spinner? That allows for an extra specialist batsman. Can't do a lot of damage if it goes pear shaped with each getting 2 overs each. Mulder is not a bad addition to the side.
  3. I am not overly impressed by Stubbs either and would rather bring in Mulder to bat at 5 and leave Van der Dussen at 6.
  4. Meant to ask you what you thought of Stubbs.....I think he's a pretender, I haven't seen anything about him that is impressive. For the time being I'll hang with Dassie. I wouldn't mind seeing one of the Hermann brothers in the side.
  5. Also think that Mulder should take over the captaincy in both cases
  6. Brewis would go for multi million dollars in the IPL next year, I think he may even be the most expensive player at the January player auction and may become the most expensive player in the history of he IPl.
  7. Bosch is a special level player in all versions of the game and is also bund to end up with millions in he IPL next year,

Not convinced that Ngidi is the best selection in T20, to my eye he gifts too many wide and short.

A possible attack Rabada, Bosch, Maphaka, Maharaj/Mulder?

D6enny, who is Brewis?

Aug 20, 2025, 04:12

Perhaps you should ask Mike, the bold is a copy and paste as if you don't know, careful now, you don't want your hate of me make a bigger Dik of yourself if that's humanly possible.

There you go boy genius.

After yesterday there is one thing Brewis should develop further and that is patience. Not every ball should be hit for a six, Brewis' batting and even bowling s nrmally brilliant. . He si a protegee of AB de Villiers and so is the youngster Van Schalkwyk and Pretorius,

In essense the three players are all adding up to a very potent future Protea batting line-up. You can find vdeos of abtting on the intenet if you just type in their usrnames and add videos to the search,

Brevis has a weakness and that is that he doesn't play off the back foot, I'd like to see him develop that skill. As for going after every ball.......that will come in time.

Aug 20, 2025, 13:41

"Brevis has a weakness and that is that he doesn't play off the back foot"

Do I need to prove you wrong again?

Or will you ignore it again?

Aug 20, 2025, 15:57

Denny

Brewis does play balls off the backfoot when he hits fours - so I am not sure you have that on right. Howeve with links to AB - the three youngsters will learn a lot from AB and thet is needed becasue they are still very yumg wth Van Schalwyk 17 years old and Pretorius 19 years old, Brewis was ignored and neglected by SA Cricket for more than 2 years and that did impact negatively on his development as a player. .

Mike allow me to clarify.

Saw a stat comparing Dewald's backfoot batting stats vs his front foot backing stats, there's a huge difference in the sharp drop.

Hope that clears up what I mean.

Chippo, I mean you no harm by telling you that I don't care what you're on about, that I don't care whether you think I'm right or wrong and I also don't care that you have a dying need to prove me wrong.

Please appreciate the fact that in replying to you I've had to expend a mountain of energy, it is so much satisfying and less energy sapping just to ignore you.

Please consider my response a favour.

Have a fat day, Chippo.

Aug 21, 2025, 11:57

Wow, a whole energy summit just to tell me you’re ignoring me. Impressive. Do the energy bills come with a certificate, or should I just assume you’re living off vibes and vibes alone?

Nice try, Denny. If ignoring me were an Olympic event, you’d still miss the podium because you’re too busy waving that participation trophy in the wrong direction.
