Unless West Indies do South Africa another favour and knock off India, it seems we are fated to play one of Oz or Sri Lanka in the qf. Having read a brief piece to that effect I watched Sri Lanka against England. The bowling was pretty mediocre. B ut the top 3 Sri Lanka bats, all they needed, looked as solid as any bats I have seen in the tournament....scoring fast, but in a controlled professional way. The India loss looms big.

Bring it on! To be the best, we have to beat the best.

The only way OZ cannot go above SriLanka is to lose a further match.   They are up against the Srilanka and two of the weakest teams  in the said pool.  If Australia lose against  SriLanka, the latter team will end up above Australia on the log - but that is extremely unlikely to happen.  SriLanka has only got two matches to play.   I am pretty sure the order in that pool will be -
1  New Zealand2  Australia3  Srilanka
So I think we will have to play SriLanka in Adelaide - which will suit us better thanit would suit SriLanka.

It could be worse than Sri Lanka! The longer we can avoid OZ and NZ, the longer we can stay in the cup.

Mikey, How does the Adelaide Oval suit the Proteas better than it would the Tamil Tigers?

I'm curious.
