Not looking good after two days

We had Oz in position to limit them to 280 or so....but other than Maharaj, the attack lacked purpose. And Quinton can't stand up to the seamers, he dropped one off Philander and effectively dropped Smith off Maharaj....fortunately the rebound was gatheted by AB. Then at bat we had a mixture of outright failures or failure to consolidate decent starts. Markram and Faf looked comfortable....but were quickly removed. And Amla is now having a serious crisis of confidence and without him the Proteas look paper thin. Only AB won his individual battle with the Oz bowlers. Another player who is mentally gone appears to be Morkel, whose pace has dropped alarmingly. The contrast with Starck bowling full at pace, getting reverse swing and attacking the stumps and Morkel's 135k short deliveries couldn't have been more obvious.

Better from Morne today.....and combined with a good day in the field with good catching from AB and Amla, this was a decent second innings bowling effort. The first innings deficit is daunting though.
