I really only looked  good in the Momentum Cup this year and came across  three bartsmen that showed some promise,    I look at all of runs scored  centuries and half-centuries made and sixes and fours  hit in the process,   For me strike rates  are also important – especially in the shorter versions of the game.

As to Snyman – he was in the SA Invitation side that played the English before the test and ODI series and  was exceptionally good  against the English

Hahaha....I’m not supporting any kid called Maques Jannie. That’s like having an explorer called Vasco Cornelius.

Mike

I've read that Ryan Rickleton is regarded as highly talented but lacks consistency.....any truth of that in your opinion?

Yes Denny - he needs some consistency - but I like his strike rate,

As to the players mentioned the best is actually Snyman - who was actually very good i n the 50 Overs games against England before the ODI series actually started.

I have been searching for that Groenewald guy you referred to but has thus far not found anything,  Something make me think about  a newspaper I read about 2 years ago about a batsmen that was making hay for the South Western District cricket team and could have been he Groenewald you referred to, but found no Groenewald in their present squad when looking up their present players.  ,
