Proteas after 14,3 overs is 91 for 1 with De Kock at 60 and Hendricks out at 29 from 41 balls. Not overly impressed by him though. Batting at just over 4 rpo is not good enough.
De Kock out in 21st over - 94 off 60 balls - hope the other batsmen do as well.
Van der Dussen disappoints - out for 2 runs off 7 balls, The score is now 141 for 3 in over 2 2.
Mulder now batting - 16 runs off 5 balls,
Mulder out - 17 runs from 11 balls
Faf out - 57 from 66 balls
Phehlukwayo out - 2 runs from 5 balls
I think that Mulder is th better choice as an all-rounder, he made a mistake this match by not taking up the correct position when a bowler was bowling over the wicket and he was bowled behind his legs with the ball just touching he leg stump. .
Proteas all out for 251, I do not think that the set-up is right. - Hendricks made 39 runs from 46 balls in 2 ODI's.
They need another reliable opener and I would say the answer is Markram.
Van der Dussen was disappointing today - but he still is a good batsman. I would then in Hamza to bat at 5 and Miller at 6. Mulder at 7 and then the bowlers.
1 Markram
2 De Kock
3 Du Plessis
4 van der Dussen
5 Miller
6 Hamza
7 Mulder
8 Rabada
9 Botha
10 Ngidi
11 Tahir.
The fifth bowler could be Mulder and Markram combined.
Nortje is now bowling - he got the magic three one:-
I over, 1 run, 1 wicket,
Nortje is now bowling - his got the magic three one: -
I over, 1 run, 1 wicket,
Nortje is basically unplayable. His figures now are
21 runs - 6 overs - 2 wickets,
He also ran out a Sri Lank batsman by hitting the stumps from about 35 meters out..
Sri Lanka is now 116 for 6
