The man they called "Iron Gloves" has passed after a massive heart attack. Marsh played in a wonderful era of Australian cricket alongside greats like the Chapplles, Lillee and Thommo. I was fortunate to see him play towards the end of a brilliant career.
The former wicketkeeper suffered a heart attack in Queensland last week and died in Adelaide on Friday.
He played 96 Tests for Australia between 1970 and 1984 and was regarded as one of the country’s greatest players.
After retiring as a player, he oversaw the nation’s cricket academy and later became a selector.
