The names that I would have liked to see perform are...

Brevis, Malan, Coetzee, Jansen, Stubbs, Rickleton, Verreynne

Of those, Rickleton, Jansen and Coetzee ...with a very distant 4th Verreynne have lived up to the hype in this series and/or stood out.

It's alarming to see how poorly Brevis and Malan have done. Stubbs has been a no-show.

Looking at the numbers, Jacks has been the stand-out batter and Klaasen, the much Mike and company derided Ginger, has batter superbly.

Faf has been in far better touch than anyone was talking about before the series. Markram is still failing--> while considered by some Emperor's Clothes merchants here to be the best bat in SA.

QDK has also done decently, at least living up to some of the reputation.

And then we get to the bowlers...

Fortuin has been the stand-out, by a mile. I picked him about 4 years back as an all-rounder but others seemed to take his place for me. Regardless, he's looking very difficult to get away.

Linde has shown that he's another player more valuable than Maharaj...by some distance. Certainly more valuable than Ngidi.

Jansen has been excellent...Mr Lanky Cool is taking to everything thrown at him with ease. I think we're looking at a 12-14 year all-format Protea here. Over-all he's my player of the series so far in terms of Proteas or possible Proteas.

Then there's Nortje... the second most wickets, 1 behind Fortuin but with a game in-hand. That's only half the story...

10.90 Average --second best in the competition, only beaten by a part-timer that bowled a couple of overs at a certain point in a game Ie not really relevant to the stats.

5.63 Economy--3rd best in the competition, again behind just 2 part-timers that bowled a few overs between them --again not really relevant inclusions but counted for transparency.

And just so you know, i figured out why Nortje is suddenly shredding batters...

I was really impressed with Hermann today - he was very good.

You did?

BS!

I know who picked him years ago and it wasn't you.

ButtPlug I know you're trying to impress anyone and everyone on here with your knowledge of cricket but there's a limit to anyone's BS.

Ok, Dentsie...

What if I produce the post where I include Fortuin in my squad?

Will you apologise?

By the way, numpty...you'll notice that I said that others replaced him for me...IE I thought others were better. So, if anything, it's the opposite of a brag.
