Well, without a doubt he is one of SA's finest batmen of any era. Internationally he is a great but is he a legend of the game? Does he qualify to stand alongside legends of the modern era, Ponting, Lara and Tendulkar or Barry Richards, Graeme Pollock and Viv Richards from a previous era?
I really don't know, nor do I care at this point in time, I'm still soaking up AB's innings,one of the finest of all time played under enormous pressure.
There, the wonder of Test cricket laid bare, we the lovers of the game are richer for the experience.
