He was covering up as much as he possibly could and he knew it,   Some of what he said  was totally unconvincing and damage control.

Please tell me the bowlers knew nothing about the ball damage efforts.   I think Hazelwood and Starc knew - but the Aussies have not got  the bowlers to cover for those two and that is why Smith, Warner and Bancroft will be thrown under the bus. 

I think Smith and Warner may get a one year ban and Banforth a six month ban.   My feeling is that they want to get rid of Warner and he will not play international cricket in future,   After the ban Smith would be welcomed back.

They will cover for Lehman for the time being - but if he is still the Aussie coach by September I will eat my hat.
