I felt very tempted to place the Proteas @ 4 but there are too many IF's, sure they have the players to win the tournament......IF they select the right players, IF they adopt a change in strategy, IF they front with an attitude....IF, IF....etc

Anyway, GL to them let's hope they get it right.

I have to agree with you Denny.

The England side is one of the better teams that they have fielded of late and the Aussies (my favourite) appear to depend a great deal on Warner making the runs.

Plus the present Aussie captain has failed once to many times for me and was out first ball today in the England game that was washed out.

Talk is that Warner even after that "Cheating" tour to RSA is now being mentioned as the new 20 over skipper according to the BBC. 

The Aussies have the talent but appear too eager to hit the leather off every ball.

But I wish them all the best and trust that they deliver in the final.

The Pakkies have a match winning opening pair at bat and are a pleasure to watch even when playing the Proteas.

Now talking about the Proteas I hold no hope for them in this WC as England, Australia, India   and Pakistan  are the form teams going into the tournament.

Unfortunately.

But I will enjoy watching the games even at the odd hour here in Canada.

Well, they're on the 4th line of betting @ 8/1, Pakistan is on the 5th line @ 8.50/1. Looks pretty close to me so who knows? 

Could be interesting if the real Proteas stand up but for that to happen you need a Smithy or Faf like Kapitan.

I'll say it again, the Proteas are a well balanced side but they need to get off on a positive note if they're to succeed in winning the T20WC. There is no doubt that they have the personnel to bring home the bacon.

One swallow doesn't make it summer but that is a lusty blow which who knows might seal the fate of the Ozzies, perhaps burnt their chances of making the top four in a worse case scenario. 

Furthermore it now opens the question of the makeup of the final four to dark horses like NZ and South Africa if India, England and Pakistan are a given to qualify for three of the spots.

In case you missed it Rossouw (Proteas) slammed a ton off 56 balls I think it was........now that was absolutely great.

Must be that rarified highveld air that gives these two players the strength to globber the bowlers plus the SA bloodline of course.
