with Dale Steyn having to sit out on a wicket which would have suited him to perfection. Fate is dealing the Proteas a cruel hand, no other team has had to endure a worse prep with players suffering a lack of form(Amla) and injuries(Steyn and Nortje). And then of course a Protea's sans AB360......the cruelest blow of all.

The Oval wicket would have suited the Protea attack with three quicks and Dale's swing but now there's is no other choice but to pick Chris Morris. Hopefully Faf wins the toss and gets England to bat .

Denny

My problem is that Steyn due to constant injury was always a dicey selection.   I can only hope that Nortje would be back playing by 10 June 2019 and maybe they can take him to England  to cover Steyn,

I must phone them on Friday when it is Joy Barendse's 98th birthday,    Did Schofield won the race or just ran second or third?
