First T20I

Great capataincy and coah decisionFirst - the team selection for the match really was in line with the stupidity of Mozart selections and the batting line-up was as follows:-

1   De Kock

2   Hendricks

3   Bavuma

4   Van der Dussen

5   Klaasen

6   Mill er,

The  above indicated that it is back to losing for the Proteas and they picked a batting  line-up according to the Mozart system of selection and they had zero chance of winning anything.   The worst batsman was Klaasen who  Mozart wanted to replace De Kock with as wicketkeeper and batsman.

But lets forget about Mozart idiocy and concentrate about the line-up selection:-

*     Hendricks should never have been in the squad and was never a success  as a batsman in any format of the game.    He had two lucky shots and was clean-bowled at 17 as per normal.    However, he met the experience requirement.

*      For a T20I Bavuma was from a strike rate perspective as expected a total disaster and the coaching failure Boucher picked him as captain of the team - amazing,

*      Klaasen - the worst SA batsman on the day scoring 7 runs from 12 balls faced,  Enough said,

*      Miller - normally a top shorter version batsman  was not successful with his 9 runs from 11 balls,

Congrats Boucher - you have been a failure as coach and it is back to your normal in this case,

The Windies made the required 160 runs in 15 overs with the failed bowlers being Hendricks, Linde and Ngidi.   Fact is the only bowlers who were  any good were Nortje and Shamsi,    Great captaincy and coaching decisions.   Use  Hendricks to bowl - he just gave away 24 runs in one over.
