South Africa is playing the Aussies tomorrow and is likely to loose their first match. The Proteas are unlikely to be as bad as they were n the 2019 CWC - but I do not give them a snowballs hope in hell chance to get through to the play-offs. There are too many weak links in the squad - so a disaster can be expected.

A specialist middle order batsman is what the team lacks, AB would have filled that hole so why not Faf Du Plessis, he is available, has the experience and has performed well at the highest level, the most recent IPL.

So the batting in the first match was a disaster. Whenever De Kock fail - the whole batting line-up fold up and surrender as well. The fact is the team is a weird combination of failures, They elft malan in SAQ and Baviuma opens the batting - that is a weird issue already.
I think Boucher is going to be out of the coaching position sooner than most people think. He is a serious and embarrassing flop as Head Coach.
