The Under 19 CWC is starting in SA on 17 January 2020 and Coetzee a potential player to watch out for.   When he was only 17 years old he was already bowling at 142 kms,  In the 5 provincial games he played in thus far he took 10 wickets  with best bowling figures of 5/33 and a strike rate of 17.4.

He showed signs of developing into a reasonable batsman as well.

I saw him playing in last years SA u19 side along with Ntini’s son Coetzee was bloody handy for a 17 year old. Strong lad bowls like Nortje using his body to generate pace He was bowling mid 140’s as a 17 year old - pretty impressive

Denny

There is another difference - Coetzee has pace equivalent to Nortje - Mulder does not have it,   Coetzee can be selected purely as a bowler, Mulder cannot.

Yeah he does look good. Strong kid. I’ll repeat what I said some time back, our stocks look decent. Some very good batsmen are coming through the ranks. Keep an eye out for Josh Richards as well. I’m not making predictions. Just saying that o don’t think it’s all doom and gloom.

I know nothing about him as a bat so no comment there

He made 59 not out in one of the WC matches and that included quite  number of 6's,  He has been working on his batting recently - but as I said before he could easily qualify for selection iro h is bowling alone.

Good spotting Mike, had a look at your bloke, you're on the money with him. Let's just hope they don't wait until his 30 before he's selected

Denny

There was a warm-up game against the India Under19 yesterday in which Coetzee took 3/19.

No look, he's the business, I'm not sure about his batting but his bowling is sweet as. We could do with our own Ben Stokes, the best Allrounder at the moment, no one else is even close.
